As they ran through the darkened streets, Helena felt her strength beginning to fade. She stumbled and fell to the ground, her body wracked with pain and exhaustion.

The next thing she knew, she was lying in a dark cave, with Sebastian sitting beside her. She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness overtook her, and she fell back onto the ground.

"Take it easy," Sebastian said, his voice gentle. "You've lost a lot of blood. You need to rest."

Helena looked down and saw that her shirt was soaked with blood. She felt a sharp pain in her neck, where Sebastian had bitten her.

Sebastian noticed her discomfort and reached out to touch her neck. "Let me see," he said, his voice soothing.

Helena hesitated for a moment, unsure of whether or not she could trust him. But then she felt his cool fingers on her skin, and she relaxed.
