Crimson's POV

The guard announced my arrival in the king's reading chamber, I entered the room, I met the king reading some old dusty book on his reading table, the moment he noticed me he took off his reading glasses.

"Crimson, what an honest surprise to see you in my reading chamber," The King, Aethelfrith's Father said, he put his reading glasses on the table.

"Greetings my King, why is it a surprise to see me in your reading Chambers?" I asked, taking the seat opposite him.

"The Crimson I know never visited my chambers unless in need of something," the King said.

"Ouch, that hurt me Father," I said, placing my hand on my chest in a playful manner.

"So what do I owe the pleasant visit?" The king chuckled, I bit the inside of my mouth, thinking of how to say it.

"Yes Father, I came today for a selfish reason," I said, looking down at my hands.

"What may this reason be?" The king asked, looking at me.

"I came because of Aethelfrith," I said. I raised my head to meet Father's gaze.
