Chapter Eleven.
"You are weak my friend!" Irises said as she threw her short knives at me. She just stretched her hands forward and boom! The knives came out. I didn't understand the magic of how that happened. She mentioned her name was Irises and her mission on finding the last of the dragon stone to return to her master. How powerful was this necklace anyway? I didn't know. Besides she didn't really offered me much time to think about that.I quickly bowed dodging the released knifes that floated up in thin air, ordered to chop off my head. For a woman named Irises, she was nothing like her name. Instead she had one task only. To get this necklace off my neck however means necessary. Even if that meant killing who or what ever gets in her way."Surrender at once! I wonder why our gel doesn't work on you." She paused for a moment, then continued her hunting."Why do you need this necklace?""I don't ne

My best dreams and worst nightmares had the same people in it. I knew that from day one, but sometimes when you're desperate and you don't care  – the devil recognises your soul the most. "Your sister?" The words came out without any backups. Nila only nodded to my question, burying her face down to avoid further questions. "Well nice to hear but we don't have time for family reunion here." Kedar stepped forward cutting in between Nila and I. "Pendragon sent you to us, didn't she?" She was ready to talk business and I was glad for that."Yes." I replied. "I need to find my sister." I added immediately."Firstly, when was the last time you had a bath?" She eyed me from head to toes as her question pierced me like a sharp nail. She was right. I glanced down on what was supposed to look like a sandal and trust me, you do not want to see what I saw. I wondered if those dirty feet down there were

I lost myself somewhere.Life is funny, isn't it? Just when you think you have it all figured out. After you begin to plan something and you know the exact direction you're headed to. Then the paths change. All the signs you thought you had disappear. The wind blows the other way. North is suddenly South, East is West, your left is right and you're just ... Lost. This was the end for me. Everything I'd ever lived for, the only part of me that was worth dying for, was dead. I wasn't sure this was a world I belonged in anymore. But one thing was certain. I didn't want to wake up again. It would be best if I'd just died. That way it would all be over. I failed. So it was my punishment to die, because I deserved it.Lost in my own thoughts I slowly laid down on the dirty ground, and drowned in my misery. It was the end of me. My eyes struggled to obey me as I willed them to fall asleep, into a dee

"We meet again, child."Indeed we did. I was in a throne room, surrounded by warriors of the dead. It was funny to me at first, all the creatures around me; about nine or ten, all carried a light in their hands. No. More like a purple fire, lighting directly from what you could call hands. One of them had his head on his right hand, and then the fire on the other. Another one looked right at me but I couldn't see his face. Even though I just knew he was staring at me. Black wounds appeared all over his body making him seem like he recently got stabbed in every part of his body. Then I noticed those creepy wounds were his eyes. The bloody hell! His eyes popped out of every part of him. Many other strange looking beings stood still in the room. One was even a snake. An entire snake but with hands, about six of them, all holding the same bloody fire."It surprises you, doesn't it?" His voice boomed, sending cold chills through my body. How could an ave

"What nonsense are you talking about young woman!" Kedar raised her voice loud enough to have attacked me."Calm down young woman. "I was only joking with you all." I worked out those types of laughs that if you listened closely, you'd definitely tell it was fake. Hopefully, I hoped they never suspect."This is not the time to joke around sister!" Bryon coughed."Seriously? That's what you're going with. Sister." Richard teased."Would you have rather I called her my love?""Why in the world would you say that?" Why would anyone called me my love? Oh, if only they knew what I had turned into at that time...Of course I lied, I wanted to be Queen. But not for a selfish reason. Mona gave me a look that told me she knew what I was up to. I didn't know why, but I liked that girl."Alright everyone. Why don't we all take a moment to relax, let all this conversation si

"So... it has been four days since you took the lives of those men, huh?" Nila asked, whispering."True." I replied without even looking at her, and without taking my hand off of his thick and tangled black mane. After what happened with Lavi the other day, and what you could call a fight that occurred between  Kedar and I, Lavi was back with me. There was absolutely no way I could still have left him out there alone. For four whole days now, everyone had been somewhat angry at me. I simply did what I had to do! "Are you feeling hungry?" She whispered again."False.""Whoa! What a claw he has there, don't you think?" "Again with the bloody whisper! Why are you doing this Nila?" I had taken all of their attitudes for the past bloody days. I couldn't hold it in any longer. They were supposed to be my guide, even when I made mistakes. Then corrected me. Not to judge me. "Why are you al

"So nothing? Anyone?" Bryon's voice wobbled with an obscure emotion from two chairs in front."Bryon, are you okay? Why did your voice sounded like that?" Nila asked him teasingly."Like what?" He asked with a serious look."Like you were just about to cry." Mona snickered, but quickly coughed when she saw Nila following in her direction. It was cute to see them both shared a smile together. I wondered whatever the hell happened between them."Of course not!" He squeaked in disapproval, maybe intending to have sounded more manly. I'd never really made fun of Bryon's awkward behavior_matter of fact, I'd always admired him somehow. He was cute, funny and had this kind of weird accent when he spoke. He liked to also talk a lot, in fact, making he and Nila a cute couple together. But he sometimes kept to himself, and thus, making us a bit distant. He somehow was afraid of me, and I couldn't blame him.

How hard could that be, huh? Well it turned out to be bloody damn hard!Until I met him.  You see, living with those bastards of a keeper was something I'd never imagined myself doing. I was so close into thrusting my dagger into one's throat when the bad-mannered saphead rudely mention that no beast was allowed into the keeper's fortress. Even after Kedar's strange men had pleaded on my behalf, telling him that Lavi was my assigned animal protector. And by strange men, I meant dwarves. Short, ugly, mutilated face like a bag of well chewed caramel. Yes. Those dwarves. But the moment we arrived at the gates of their fortresses, they sprayed something colbalt blue like on their skins and instantly, turned into full grown men. After a long boring conversation, pleading and laughing minutes later, when I'd lost track of time I spent in the carriage, they finally welcomed us in and let us passed through the fortified gates.

"And then I said, for what reason would he do something as foolish as that." The crowd roared in laughter as Ulric gave a senseless speech. He talked about how he had his son, the death of his wife, and some boring topics similar. He was only suppose to mention the main purpose of throwing the feast, but instead, he decided to beat around the bush. We secretly went through the plan, if you called Nila screaming Kerik out loud rather than properly referring me as Lady Bellatrix secretly. Or Richard's interrogation with me, after Bellamy had invited me to join them in front. Since the ballroom was quite large, with ceilings higher than other rooms, it wasn't really easy to sneak up on people's conversations. Besides, Kedar made it quick and simple. She dug into Ulric's past and conceived an intense dark secret. I didn't know how she did her job, all I knew was that, that secret was our weapon. After the sneaky discussion, we went ahead wit

"Here, follow me." The woman who was supposed to be my mother, lead us to a small room close to the kitchen. "We'll be safe in the pantry, my child." She smiled again, like she'd been doing since she appeared to us."Thank you ma'am." Bellamy quickly appreciated her rendered help, and looked at me for a reply too. "We thank you so much." He added after getting nothing but a blank expression on my face. "She's just been through a lot.""No worries. I'll leave you two to send off anything that might leave a trail on your hide out." Her lips curled into another smile, but was instantly replaced with a worried look. "I love you, so much." She whispered, then focused on Bellamy. "Please take care of her, and stay safe." Having said that, she took one last look at me, then ran out the door, leaving me to wonder what the hell I'd just encountered.«»«»«»«»«»"Bellatrix?"My eyes slowly worked it's way
