Revenge
Valencia swayed a little and Dominic instinctively shot out a hand to steady her. “Are you okay?” He asked her, searching her face that was confused. His hand touched hers and as if it was something alien she placed her hand around his chin and raised him up in the air. Dominic was taken off guard by her sudden attack but he recovered soon. Valencia would most certainly see him dead so he decided to pacify her. Meanwhile, Caleb who was watching from the side just realized how powerful the beautiful girl he had been planning to knock out was and blurted, “I…I am sorry, miss….mam…” Caleb felt that there was no way he would walk out of the situation alive. That made her look at him and she shook her head, her hands losing their strength momentarily as Dominic fell to the ground. Realizing his foolishness to have attracted her attention, Caleb tried his best to run away while whimpering and cursing.  Meanwhile, Dominic

Solving mysteries
“What?” Dominic blurted out in shock to hear her say that.  Dusting her hands, she replied, “This scum of a rogue said that to me instead of ordering a drink.” The alpha curled his fingers into a fist and punched him square in the jaw as well. While he had caught the pun behind the drink, to think that someone would even be near Valencia, and try to take advantage of her….his blood began to boil. Why was he having such murderous thoughts? Clearly, because he wanted to protect his archon. ‘Yes, that’s what it is,’ he told himself. And that someone was tied to a chair in front of him. Of course, he wanted to kill that rogue then and there. Caleb should have been thankful that the alphas merely punched him and didn't tear him apart because they still needed answers from him. After hitting the young man’s face, Dominic felt a little of his tension loosen up. Caleb slumped down on the ground, knocked off, taking the chair down

Dream or reality?
“Sent where?” Both the alphas chorused in unison. Caleb flinched a bit at the way both of them spoke in their commanding voices but tried his best to answer, they weren’t going to let him free either way and it looked like he didn't have the luxury of going back to his previous boss as well. Now, he could only answer to the best of his abilities and hope that they would show some mercy on him. Thus he began narrating, “I am not sure of the place but it was somewhere far away. We were blindfolded and we were taken someplace that looked like a cave from the inside. The journey had taken hours and it was a rocky road based on the constant bumps that we felt throughout the ride.” The alpha was about to say something but Valencia signaled him to stay put. She knew where this was going. Rituals and worship could only mean that a witch or a mage was behind all this. However what stumped her was why a mage would be involved in creating werewolves, if

Found an answer
Dominic took her to his home despite her saying over and over that she was fine. He immediately called Freyge and asked him to get all the medications possible to help her feel better. Thus, only fifteen minutes later, they were all sitting in the wide-open hall of his mansion while Freyge was pulling out a dozen vials and bottles to give her a potion. Valencia made a face to look at him mixing the different herbs into her drink, the smell already making her puke but she knew she couldn't grumble like a three year old. As such, she watched as Freyge prepared and handed her a quick drink while Dominic paced the room. When Freyge was done he asked him, “Did you find the answer to the riddle?” Before Freyge could answer, Valencia asked him, “Riddle? What riddle?” Her omega shook his head in denial and appraised her of the situation. Now, he wasn’t afraid that she would rip him apart as Dominic had told him of her sudden interest to meet t

A long journey
Freyge handed the little scroll to the archon who only looked at him in confusion once before opening the soul. “Congratulations on passing the little test. I get called for little problems such as finding a missing family member or pulling a prank on someone. As such, I try to weed out those who really require my help against those who just waste my time. Based on the previous message that I had received, I was informed of some mage trying to tarnish the reputation of my community. I would like to very much hear about it but I have certain pressing matters to attend to. As such, if you can visit me in the next 48 hours, I should be able to help you. C.H” Valencia read the small message sent through the scroll loudly for both Freyge and Dominic to hear.  Looking at both of them quizzically, she drummed her fingers against her knee, “What mage is trying to tarnish the mage community’s image? And how do you know who he is?” Dominic rushed to her an

Lets go on a ride
While Freyge had gone to collect herbs and potions for the alpha’s journey to the Burham mountains, Valencia had gone to pack some stuff in a duffel bag. She didn't have much to pack though, only two sets of clean clothes, a pair of daggers, and she was done. Dominic didn't even bother carrying clothes and he just wore a long jacket with loads of pockets that he stuffed with daggers, and the potions Freyge had got for him.  Normally, they would just transform back into their human forms with their clothes intact, a blessing given by the moon goddess to make them feel less awkward if they were around other werewolves. They could never have been thankful for a more suitable gift that helped him in battles, during the rare occasions that they would lose their wolf’s control or when they are turned for the first time. Thirty minutes later, they all met outside Valencia’s home. She slung her bag around her shoulder and looked at Dominic to see if he h

Trapped
Despite all his protests, Valencia didn’t bat an eyelid and Dominic had no other option but to follow her. As it was dark, Valencia took advantage of the fact and drove towards the nearest station and filled up the tank to the full.  The guy at the station eyed them weirdly as the bike was a little out of fashion but before he could say something, Valencia drove off after Dominic managed to throw a wad of notes at her. Valencia throttled the engine and zoomed through the forest not even letting Dominic get a firm grip on the bike. He wasn’t sure what made Valencia suddenly behave differently. She had been all serious before leaving her home but then the moment they left it was as if something changed. “Will you please let me know what has gotten into you?” He asked her though his voice drowned due to wind rustling past them. Valencia was driving the bike through the dirt paved road that was riddled with roots, rocks, and uneven land. Ther

Still trapped
Dominic was thrown on his back uncomfortably, the rope digging into his skin while Valencia lay on top of him. They were both suspended in the air, around twenty feet high and there was no sign of anyone who would either hunt or rescue them. The alpha tried to sound amusing, “Looks like whoever the hunter was, set the trap and forgot all about it.”Though even his voice sounded off to him. The heat was rushing to his cheeks once again as Valencia was sprawled against him, her knees bent awkwardly.“Can we try to get up?” She asked him hesitantly. He tried to stop his voice from shaking, “Not me, I have fallen enough times already. You may do as you please.”Valencia looked at him with furrowed eyebrows, “You dare talk to your archon like that?”A ghost of a smile appeared on the alpha’s lips as he countered her, “The archon drove through the forest like a raging bull, crashed the bike in a

Let's have some fun
They hadn’t moved in the last few minutes and awkward silence was around them once again. Thus, Dominic cleared his throat and asked her, “Are you…okay?” Valencia nodded her head and pulled her hair away from his face. Her fingers brushed his lips and that was when Dominic’s eyes met hers. They were emerald green as always, shining with a fervor that she couldn't quite put a finger on. She hesitated and answered, “Yes” Dominic tried his best to straighten his legs as much as he could and said to her, “the hunter might come early morning to check if any of his snares caught a prey…so…it might do us good to rest a little.” Again, Valencia just answered with a small “Yes.” She didn't say anything else. It was as if her mouth refused to speak. He extended a hand for her to use as a pillow and turned his head away, closing his eyes to fall asleep. Valencia saw the dozen cuts his hands had received all the while when she was jumping around. That mad

The captors
The leaves parting on the horizon indicated that there were hycwens coming for them because there weren’t many beasts that tall, not at least, what they knew of. Dominic pulled out the daggers from his inner pockets and Valencia’s eyes went wide. “Why didn’t you use them to cut through the ropes?” She asked him disbelievingly. “We could have been halfway through the Burham mountains by now.” Well, she did have a point. However, Dominic had his reasons. “Had I freed us right away, you would have made me sit on that infernal bike again. I hate it.” He had expected her to be angry or irritated at him for wasting time but what he didn't expect was that a small smile appeared on her face. “What?” He asked her in the same tone and she let out a chuckle. Her laughter was music to his ears and it felt like all the ache and pain had been washed away, making him feel revitalized. However, he didn't let that show on his face. Befo
