Chapter 31
“Oh, yes, really,” Jennet answered. “I have this feeling called annoyance towards you and nothing more than that.” She added indifferently. Hue became furious because, from her answers, he knew she was toying around with his feeling. Little Veen and her were the same because they love to make him feel miserable in a split second after showering him with happiness. The handsome man’s face soured as he shut his mouth and sat quietly until his hair got dried. When Jennet handed him the clothes that she found in the cupboard, he only glared at her. But, he still took them from her hands. “Do I not have any underwear?” He asked grumpily after looking through the clothes. Jennet snorted, finding his words funny, “You go commando under those clothes,” she replied. “That will be uncomfortable. I feel naked without it.” Hue

Chapter 32
After having breakfast together for the second time ever since their first encounter, they left the villa together. Hue was so excited. He was unable to hide his silly smiley face from her. He kept looking back at the villa that was getting farther behind them. Yes, he was finally out of the barrier that entrapped him for years! “Honey, I am so excited!” He exclaimed joyfully beside her. He looked out the window, smiling happily. Jennet glanced at him and chuckled, “What are you excited for?” She asked. “We are only going shopping for your clothes.” She said. Somehow, when she saw his happy face, she felt happy too. “To tell you the truth, I have never stepped out of the villa before.” He looked out of the window and added, “So many things had changed since the last time I monitored them.” Jennet gla

Chapter 33
Jennet turned to the attendant, “I need shoes for him as well.” Hue was still in his furry slippers and, it was an odd spectacle. She does not want him to be a laughing stock although, she is to be blamed for it.As she waited for the attendant to return, she looked about and noticed that the store was half-flocked by women. Their presence outnumbered the men in the store and, she felt unhappy about the situation. While she mulled alone outside the fitting room, she prayed for their shopping to go as smooth as she hoped for. Only God knew how much she wished to drag Hue home and keep him away from everyone, especially women that looked at him with a lustful gaze. At the same time, she wished that no one would faint when they laid their eyes on him.A few minutes later, Hue stepped out of the fitting room looking dashingly awesome in the long sleeves knitted shirt and grey-long pants. His otherworldly sexiness oozed out of him and, those who saw him f

“I apologize but, he is my husband,” Jennet corrected while smiling. Oh well, he is my husband in eyes public now, she grumbled inwardly. She had no intention to lie but, she could not stop it now. “We appreciate your kindness but, we will not be taking it for free. Please get the payment from my card or, we will leave without taking anything.” Jennet spoke in a calm but stern tone. The sexy woman smiled, “Very well.” She glanced towards Hue that caught her attention since she came. “I hope you will accept our gratitude because your appearance brought happiness to our staff. They had never seen a man as handsome as you before,” she winked at him. Hue stretched an awkward smile as he grabbed Jennet’s hand tightly. He was hiding behind his short wife. He got spooked when she winked and, he felt something was strange about her. “Well, since you insist, we will accept your kindness. However, it won’t be for free but at a discount.” Jennet said confidentl

Chapter 35
Inside the car, Jennet held the steering wheel tightly. Her heart burned with rage. “It was rude. I tell you it was rude,” she voiced out her dissatisfaction. “I have never done something like that in my life!” A deep grunt cracked from the depth of her throat. “Humph!” Hue grunted in his seat. He faced the window with a smug and pouty face, ignoring her. “Do not make that sound with me!” She snapped at him. “Honking when people are having a conversation is very rude and, for goodness’ sake, she is someone elderly who we must respect. Why can’t you approach us and ask to leave politely? Did you not know anything about being polite?!” He faced her and said proudly, “Yes, I know nothing about that!” Then, he looked away as pouty as ever. Why would he care for such things? He lived longer than humans and, he had the authority to act as however, he wanted. Jennet seethed in her seat. She stopped the car by the roadside. His childish and

Jennet froze. A request like that never crossed her mind. It was rather childish of him to make a bold request like that. “You are being unreasonable,” she said with a stiff face. Her guard rose steadily. “It is reasonable,” Hue replied solemnly, “because there is nothing wrong with my reasoning.” He grinned. Jennet clenched her jaws. She surmised he was the embodiment of pure evil and, there was nowhere she could feel happy about it when she knew he had orchestrated a sneaky scheme to trap her. “I just met you and, I am not going to kiss you,” she said after summoning her courage to speak up. Hue tsked and waved his finger, “Uh-uh, you are wrong there, honey. In my calculation that is including today, we have been together for five days,” he raised his brows while grinning, “I was there from the first night.” “What?” Jennet croaked in shock. “Yup. You heard me right.” Man, he was so proud to finally reveal that he was with h

Inside the supermarket, Jennet was not paying attention to her shopping. She took whatever she saw. Her mind was occupied by a lot of things. She had no idea that she attracted quite a lot of stares from other shoppers when she mumbled, ‘I’m dead, I’m dead’ while pushing the shopping cart. She came to reality when the cashier waved his hand before her face and called out to her.“Excuse me, miss, are you paying by cash or by card?” The cashier's concerned expression greeted her view.Jennet broke into a smile, “Ah, I’m sorry. I’m paying by card.” She shoved her card to him while hiding her embarrassment for zoning out for too long. After paying for the grocery, she hurried to the door. However, she retreated to the cashier again.“Do you sell pepper sprays?” She asked with hopeful eyes. When the cashier shook with an apologetic smile, she felt more depressed than ever but, she

“Hard to believe? But, we are here!” The ladies giggled together with her as they jumped around with glee.Jennet laughed, “But, I am serious. How did you know where I live? We were like not in contact with one another for nearly six years.”“We followed your car from the supermarket.” Explained one of the ladies and, the rest nodded.“You know which car I was in too?” Jennet was even more surprised than ever. How the heck did they manage to find out about the details of her car? That was insane!“But, wow, look at you now,” Rosey stepped forwards and eyed Jennet from head to toe, “you’ve gone through a huge transformation. You look nothing like when you were in school. I say, you’re prettier now, girlfriend!” she smiled widely.Rosey was a bit shorter than the rest of them. She had a curvy body and, she wore a provocative pic knee-length dress that matched her pic

“Ahem,” Hue coughed, “we met five years ago and, I fell in love at first sight with her. We got engaged for five years and, about four days ago, we were officially married. This villa is our love nest.” Well, that was all made up story, Jennet thought. They met only a few days ago and, their first encounter was in bed, snuggling together! “That is unbelievable. You met each other five years ago?” All eyes shifted towards Jennet, who had stayed silent for being ignored by everyone. “Please don’t listen to him. It’s not what you think it is.” Jennet tried to explain the situation. But, none of her friends chose to listen. They were engrossed to know more about her love life from Hue, who fed them with nothing but juicy lies. Well, it’s not like they know if the story is true in the first place. “Jennet, keep still and listen,” Avina shushed her softly. Then, she eyed the handsome man and smiled, “Hue, please continue with your story. We would

Chapter 40
“P-put me down!” she hissed at him with a low voice, worried that she might wake her friends that were resting in the guestrooms. She clung to his neck in fear when he carried her bridal style along the stairs. The feeling of being lifted off the ground was heart-wretchedly scary. It was also because no one had ever carried her like that. Not once in her life!“Honey, we should celebrate this joyous occasion on our own because I love you so much.” Hue smiled with mischief. He had already planned all sorts of naughty things that he wished to shower her with.“Put me down! I can walk! Put me down!” Jennet cried. However, her grip on his collar only tightened when the door of her bedroom came into sight. That instant, her face was void of any colour but only whiteness.“W-what are you trying to do?! Why are we going to my room?!” She asked. No, no! She cried when her heart squeezed in fear.Hue
