It felt like there was a piece missing, but I wasn’t sure what it was. I was usually good about picking up on the clues in these types of situations and my gut feelings were almost always right. My dad had taught me to trust my instinct, but this situation felt as if there was too much unknown. We had no information about the threat, just that there was one.
