Chapter 10 -
Dingo/Davin POVThen her stomach growled loudly and we both laughed uneasily.“Danny I’m going to let go of you now. I don’t want you to hurt yourself.” I told her calmly.I smoothly pulled myself up from around her and stood in front of her. She was looking at me, like for the first time really seeing me. Those sparkling blue eyes drank in my body as she looked me over and ended at my face. I could tell she liked what she saw and I gave her another calming smile. “Danny it’s been three days since you’ve eaten. I’ve made breakfast. Let me bring you some and we will talk.” Then I added, “Just nod if you understand.” She did.I stepped back to the kitchen, piled the bacon and eggs on a plate. Pouring a glass of orange juice and grabbed a few napkins on my way back to her. She was more relaxed, petting Biscuit as he inched his way across the bed closer to her.I couldn&rsqu

Chapter 11 -
Dingo/Davin POVAfter I nearly froze her in the shower, I resigned to the only spot I had mostly inhabited the last few days, the couch in the front room. I flipped on the T.V. I was recalling what she had told me and wondering what she was still hiding. The fact that I was ready to tear the door down when I heard her scream surprised me. I was so comfortable with her and ready to jump to her defense, like we had known each other for a long time. She made me feel at ease. But I wasn’t sure I was having the same effect on her. I felt bad that I just stood there gawking at her beautiful body like some horny teenager. She likes it. I will make her happy and keep her safe. Dane was now turning this into his mantra.I knew, I should have better control of myself and Dane. Together we have trained many years to have that control and with her, that training meant nothing.I watched her dart from the bathroom to her room and try and shut the door.

Chapter 12 -
Dingo/Davin POVShe was asleep, gently snoring as she laid against my chest. She was looking better, healthier but I could tell she was still easily drained.“Hey Dingo, how’s it going?” Brad flashed me, as he had been periodically over the last two days. This time I could give him good news.“She is awake. Or was awake anyway. I sent him the mental image of her sleeping peacefully on my chest. She has eaten and we talked a bit.” I couldn’t help my surge of excitement.“Dingo that’s good. That could have been really bad. She took you being there, ok?” He flashed back.“Yeah, she is amazing. She panicked at first but I got her calmed down. I’m sure this sorta thing has happened to her before. Of course, I didn’t mention anything about being a Were. One step at a time and this is a big one.” I smiled looking down at her.&ldquo

Chapter 13 -
Danny POVHis coat on, he picked up his bag and moved to the door. He turned saying, “Are you sure you’ll be ok. I’ll only be gone a few hours.”That was sweet but I hardly require a babysitter. “I’m a grown woman in case you haven’t noticed. Most the time… I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself.” Besides, I knew he wasn’t coming back. He was sweet and I like having him here, but I was hardly worth staying for and I knew it. I feel this attraction, this pull to him. I thought it was mutual but I’ve been wrong before. I was too old for him and I knew he would have to admit it eventually. Hell, he stayed for three days but now he’s just dipping out? Maybe he finally came to his senses. We’ll see but I’m not holding my breath.I frowned a little and got up; I would probably leave me too. Truly it was like the sun just set as he shut the door. Oh well, I had a lot to sort o

Chapter 14 -
Danny POVWe finished up eating and he promptly took everything away and cleaned up. We had been laughing and playing alongside the Game Shows on the T.V. It was so relaxing, just enjoying each other’s company talking and joking. It was like we had done this every night together for the last 10 years. His smile was absolutely captivating, and every time I looked into his eyes my breath would catch. His sense of humor was wicked sharp, and he enjoyed teasing and arguing with me. I had to admit, I loved being teased and argued with.He was well read too, he got nearly every question on Jeopardy right. He was humble but sarcastic when I accused him of being scholarly. Next up was Family Feud, my favorite. People are so strange with their answers. The host began, “We asked 100 random people what their favorite ice-cream flavor was and they said…...?” I instantly shouted “Strawberry” at the same time he said “Vanilla.”

Chapter 15 -
Dingo/Davin POVWhen I awoke, she was still in my arms. My body and soul were in complete peace at this moment. Last night I had her and she was like no one I’d ever been with before. She was sexy and beautiful and kind but this… she was incredible. I know she wanted me too but making love to her was so much more than I had ever thought possible. She was like a drug. Once I tasted her, I nearly lost my mind. All I wanted was to please her and taste her more. When we came together it was everything. I felt like I poured my entire soul into her while her aura cocooned us together. I couldn’t tell who, was who anymore. We were one. When we were both spent, I rolled over and pulled her into me. I couldn’t let her go, I kept her wrapped in my arms, savoring her smooth skin and breathing in her scent.  This morning, I still craved her touch but the intensity was gone. She was so cute the way she curls up like a little pup when she sleeps. Her h

Chapter 16
Dingo/Davin POVI stayed with her, watching her breathe. Thinking of how to go about breaking it to her when she began to stir. I could tell she was awake by her change in breathing. I gently pulled her hair back to see the side of her face and she looked up at me. Her eyes were dazzling. The pale blue was so bright, mesmerizing. I kissed her forehead and asked, “I made breakfast, are you hungry?”She nodded and we got up and she threw on her lounge pants and a t-shirt. We went out to the couch. The eggs and sausage were cold so I popped them in the microwave to reheat and I poured us both coffee. When the food was ready, we sat down together and began eating. “So Beautiful, what should we do today?” I asked between bites.Humph. Maybe I am distracting her with food. I snickered to myself. Of course, I wasn’t going to admit that to Dane. She picked up a sausage link and nibbled on it seductively. She is a saucy little

Chapter 17 -
Danny POVI have always loved the beach during a storm. There is so much raw power in the crashing waves, it’s so humbling. I drove to my usual spot. It’s just a tiny path off the road down to the beach. Almost no one is ever here, just the way I like it.I was ready to jump out of the truck the minute the keys were in my hand. “Love it!” I exclaimed as soon as the door closed.I was excited to have a beach partner again. I usually take Biscuit on my adventures but last time the silly beast tried to catch a seagull the was flying out to sea. He jumped two small waves and sunk like a rock. Lucky for him I was close enough to drag him out before he drowned. Nope, no more water trips for him.The trail down to the beach was steep and slippery with the wet. Davin was such a gentleman holding my hand. I smiled and said realizing, “I forgot to check the tide table but I’m sure the tide is now going out.”We made

Chapter 18 -
Danny POV I pulled into the Calloway Inn parking lot. It looked a little intimidating from the outside with pillars and valet parking. Not the type of place I prefer. But if he’s gonna pay, I’ll do it for him. We walked in together. A second later I heard, “Ah, Dingo it’s so good to have you back again.” I guess this is his type of place after all. Davin greeted the man and introduced us. “Todd, this is Danny. Danny this is Todd. He’s an old friend of mine and manager here.” Todd was a little taller than average, a middle aged man with dark hair and a slightly pudgy face. But he was dressed impeccably, every last hair in place. Ugh, I look horrible and smell like the tide I thought myself. Oh well, I did suggest we change before we came here. I stepped up and said a friendly, “Hello.” Todd said with a smile, “Well I can’t imagine what type of trouble you’ve been up to lately; it looks like you may have nearly drowned this poor lady. Do

Dingo/Davin POV “Maybe we should save 20 questions until after we’ve both eaten.” I smiled and she calmed and smiled back. Distracting her with food again? Dane smirked. She is special and has been through a lot, do not hurt her. Wow Dane, usually I’m the one to remind you of this sort of thing. You just keep that in mind when you meet her. Then I added. You realize that still isn’t happening yet, right.  I know. She makes us happy and she needs us. Don’t worry, she will like me and I will not hurt her.  Dane insisted. A few minutes later we pulled into the impressive frontage of the Calloway Inn. Since it was off season, the valet was not in service. She parked in the lot and we walked in. It was nearly deserted. The Ocean River Pack owned this and several other businesses in town. The manager was a pack member and also a friend of mine. He was there within seconds of the door alarm to w
