Zack was sitting on the edge, on the rooftop. The scene of Lillian and Shadow kissing kept repeating in his mind. He hit his head with his palms to stop himself from thinking of that. He suddenly heard the door open and looked back. He saw Lillian walking with her eyes glued to her phone. She had this love-struck smile which pained his heart because he knew it was because of Shadow. He thought of leaving, but he couldn’t, so he slowly walked up to her and hugged her from behind. He could feel her fighting against him, but he didn’t want to let her go. “LET ME GO!” she yelled at him. “I can’t.” He told her. She froze when she realised who this voice belonged to. “Can’t you give me a chance?” he asked her in a distressed tone. Lillian let her hands drop. “You can’t force someone to like you. It doesn’t work that way. Besides, I have some I like already.” She told him. He didn’t want to listen to that. He turned her around angrily.

Lillian was very interested in the witch kind and was listening to Olivia with interest. “Okay. So, has anyone ever broken the blood oath?” she asked her. “Some, yes. When it was first introduced.” Olivia told her. “The blood oath is very scary, and I think that is one of the reasons why no one would dare to break it. But there are not a lot of blood oaths made in the first place. It is only used for really important things. Like for keeping peace etc. but can use it for personal use too if we want. There’s no law against that.” Olivia told her. She nodded understandingly. “But why are you protecting me?” I mean, I’m not related to you or anything? Am I? She asked her.” she asked her. Olivia sighed. “There are some things that are better unsaid. Your mother wanted you to live a normal life.” Olivia told her. “But then, why do I need protection? Why me?” she asked her in a frustrated tone. “I’m sorry. I can’t tell.” Olivia told her.

Lillian had fallen asleep as she was thinking when she woke up. It was already time for university. She got up and changed into a black top with black faded out tights.  When she got out of her room, she looked for Olivia, but she wasn’t there, so she thought she left earlier than her. She went to the university and called Shadow because they agreed to meet there. She was talking to him when someone jumped at her from behind and scared the hell out of her.
