Chapter Eleven: Katya
I sat on the bar looking at every single vampire on the main floor, staring back at me. “Okay guys, thanks for coming, so I’m letting you all know what I know okay. There’s something going on and our people are going missing along with the werewolves. I need you all to be aware of your surroundings at all times, when I find more information out I’ll let you know, just be careful.” I say, hearing the whispers startup. “Where are they going?” Velcon, an older vampire asked concern etching on his face.“We don’t know.” I hated not having answers but they deserved to know what was going on. “So, what are we supposed to do about all of this?” Luscious, another vampire asks. “You wait for us to figure it out,” Killian said walking in from the double doors that led to the club. “Wait for a wolf, to help the vamp?” Luscious laughed. “It’s always been us serving you, why would it change?” Luscious held contempt for the werewolves and was the first to fight one if anything negative was ev

Chapter Twelve: Killian
“I’ve been called many things, Killian, never special.” She scoffed. I had meant it though. She was special. She was like I had very much told Markus earlier, different. “It’s true,” I said shrugging and leaning back. She snorted, “Okay yeah. You bump your head before coming here?” She stood up quickly. “Now, is that all? I have to go.” “Where are you going?” I ask. “None of your damn business.” She says walking towards her room. Was she going to go see someone? Wait, why did I feel it was my business? “Katya,” I say, getting up and following her. “Hold up, I’m sorry I just want to know if it had to do with something I could help with.” I crashed into her room trying to stop her and caught her in her bra and lace underwear. Holy shit, she was gorgeous. “Are you kidding me?” She yelps, holding her t-shirt in front of her body. “Oh shit, I’m sorry,” I say turning around so quick I bumped into the door jam. I had fucked several women in my twenty-five years of life and never act

Chapter Thirteen: Katya
I enjoyed the silence that the night held. As a child, it would scare me, but as an adult, nothing in this darkness scared me. I could smell the rancid smell that the forbidden left behind. It smelt of sewer and death. This particular forbidden had been spotted by the night patrol for two days in a row, while it didn’t attack it sat and watched. It waited. This for a forbidden was odd, to say the least. Forbidden normally, so desperate in their need to return to their pack rushed most fences, and pack members. No one could figure out what they hoped to gain with re-entering, but it was something that was done over and over again. Until now. I felt eyes on me. I couldn’t pinpoint where exactly the eyes were at the moment, but they were there watching. This was different. I stood, dusting my jeans off; entering the field. “Come, brother or sister, let us reminisce, and enjoy some food and laughter,” I said, stopping and turning myself in a circle. I had never spoken to lure a forbidde

Chapter Fourteen: Killian
I had just finished putting my sweats on and was looking at the cuts I had gotten during the fight in the mirror when my bedroom door flung open. Katya stomped into the room slamming the door behind her, she was pissed. Oh was she pissed. She didn’t slow down she walked straight up to me and smacked me across the face. I had been in so many fights growing up, but this hit stung me to my core. “Are you dumb, or are you stupid?” She yelled. “Neither,” I answered, trying to contain my anger. “Well, that was a fine display of both of those things, Killian.” “I helped you, why are you mad?” “Because Killian, because you are an Alpha, did you for a minute think about what would happen to your pack if you died?” “As a matter of fact, it hadn’t crossed my mind,” I say leaning against the wall. “Does it ever cross your mind, what would happen to the vampires in your building if you lost?” “No, because I have measures in place, you dumbass.” She yelled. “Well, I’ll get measures in place

Chapter Fifteen: Katya
Two weeks had passed since Killian and I had argued. Well, technically I argued Killian listened to me argue. I wasn’t proud about hitting him, but he refused to listen; it scared me that he would put himself in danger for me. I didn’t want that. I was happy alone; wasn’t I? No, I was happy. I walked out of my bedroom to Luscious nervously waiting for me in my living room. “Knock much?” I ask, giving him a smile. “No door.” He answers, gesturing to the elevator. I laugh. “Good point. What’s up?” “So, um, I’ve been talking to everyone, and, um” he clears his throat rubbing the back of his neck, “we want you to be our person in charge. Would it be an Alpha?” “Why me?” I ask, I had figured it was coming. “You brought us together, who better to lead us?” “You?” I answered hopefully, making him laugh. “So when do we vow our allegiance, and kneel by our swords.” I roll my eyes. “I’m not your queen, dummy,” I say. “No? You’ve been our savior for quite some time, Katya. T

Chapter Sixteen: Killian
Normally, someone would say two weeks is a breeze, but this was far from a breeze. I kept picturing Katya, and her long black hair and cat-like eyes. What could I do? I hadn’t figured out if I would bow to her or not. She hadn’t reached out, I knew she wouldn’t, but a part of me had hoped she would. I was sitting here like a love-struck teenager, it was ridiculous. I could have any woman in this entire world, why did I want her and only her. She invaded my dreams, my every waking moment, nothing I did would stop it, nothing. Morpheus asked me if I would be willing to bow to her, and as much as I would say no out loud, I knew I would. I would bow in a heartbeat if she would be mine. I would bow to see that very rare smile. “Killian?” Markus knocked on the office door. “You have a visitor.” “Let them in,” I say, standing. Markus walks into the room, his face told me everything I needed to know. “Move you, oaf,” Sarai said, pushing past Markus. “Brother, you don’t look happy to see m

Chapter Seventeen: Killian
I sat emersed in my thoughts of my childhood, and how Sarai had tormented me for my so-called weakness, how as I became older, my father joined her. My mother was my only friend in the constant darkness, but she too fled, and never looked back much like I had chosen to do. My phone started ringing bringing me out of my thoughts as I sat in the parking lot of Katya’s club. “Yeah?” I asked, slightly irritated. “They’re at a hotel that situated over one hundred miles away, why would she come this way, Killian?” Markus on the other end answered perturbed. “That’s what I want to know. Sarai never misses or loves anyone, what do they want? What are they doing?” “There is a bank conference there, but I thought your dad dropped the banking investments he was making?” “Dad said the best way to lose money was to depend on human banks, he pulled out of that shit over two years ago, he only invests in cars now.” “Would Sarai invest in banks?” “She is quite adept at money situations, but w

Chapter Eighteen: Katya
I was sitting quietly in the bushes waiting to spot the elusive forbidden that had been circling Killian’s pack lands, they definitely had begun hunting us instead of us hunting them. What could possibly have caused this shift? It still irked me, I was missing something and that hardly ever happened. I heard twigs snap behind me. I shift quietly to turn around and give myself room to unsheath my sword. “Calm down it’s me,” Killian whispered leaning down next to me. “What are you doing here?” I hissed. “We discussed this.” “Eh, technically you screeched at me while I stood in shock that you smacked me upside my head,” Killian answered with a small smile. “I don’t screech.” I was offended, I never screeched. “It was a high octave.” “Shut up, I don’t like that you’re here.” “Listen, I need to do something, and actually feel like I’m accomplishing something, so I can go hunt somewhere else or we can work in twos like you told all your people they were supposed to.” “Them

Chapter Nineteen: Killian
My heart was in my stomach while I raced towards my house. I could feel her blood sticking to my body. I had to get ahold of Agora and see if there was a way for her to help. Most vampires would have already healed, but it seemed that Katya didn’t possess that healing power, or it was slower than usual. Maybe, she needed blood. I wonder when her last injections were. She couldn’t consume blood like a normal vampire, I knew that much, but, what if it was given to her. I slice across my chest with an elongated claw that shifted in my hand, blood started to pour out of the gaping wound, and I turn and press Katya’s mouth to it. “Come on Katya, drink it please,” I whisper to her, pressing her mouth to my wound. She stirred faintly but I still had to force her mouth open so blood could drain in. I entered my room and placed her gently on the bed with her still drinking from me. It was the most erotic thing I had ever experienced, had I not been distracted by her bleeding profusely from
