I make my way through the dark museum halls with hanging skeletons and plastic corpses. Only the sound of the wind is noticeable. I walk through the place silently. No sound comes from my feet, and my breath is quieter than the sound of the hands on a watch.The World Artifact exhibit is two halls over and on the other side of where I started. There shouldn't be any form of security that I can't handle.But walking through the museum, there's not a great deal of security. No lasers, or tripwires, or any dogs either. Not even cameras. Waking up in the middle of the night, I turn to the side and see that Rupert is still there. He snores lightly. It's not too loud, but the noise is there. I rub my hand gently on his head so as not to wake him. He huffs in his sleep.Looking to the other side where the nightstand is, I look at the clock. 4:34 A.M.
