DALIA'S POVThe weekend went by quicker than usual. I woke up Monday morning with a sense of dread, and vomit crawling up my throat. Emily had told me that I had to Eros I was pregnant with his baby, and she was not negotiable about it. She said I would hate myself if I intentional stood in the way of their possible father-child relationship, and my child would ask questions soon enough. After a long argument on the way back to my place, I gave in, and agreed to tell Eros about the pregnancy. After I had emptied whatever I had eaten from the night before in the toilet bowl, I flushed it down, and took a long pee."What makes her so sure that he'd even want to be in our lives." I mumbled, as I tore three squares of toilet paper; and wiped myself dry. I dropped the used toilet paper in the water, and flushed again, before pulling up my underwear and walking over to the sink.I knew Emily only wanted what was best for me, but I couldn't help but feel like this was a setup. There was no w

DALIA'S POVIt had been nearly three hours since I arrived at West Inc. Since deciding to wait in the cafe, I had almost tasted everything they had on display. I wasn't sure if it was a pregnancy thing, or I was just extremely boredom, but I was down to my very last treat. It was a very large chocolate chip cookie flavoured milkshake. Jeffery's driver had informed me he was leaving to run a few errands about forty minutes ago, and told me to call him whenever I was done. I did not believe him one bit, but I nodded and dismissed him. It wasn't my business where he went, and to be completely honest, I didn't care. All I wanted was to get up to West's office, apologise, and be right on my way back to MELT.I spent another couple minutes nursing my milkshake, often stirring it with the thick, bendy straw that popped out from the hole in the middle of the plastic lid. I knew that West was a busy man, I just never imagined he'd be this busy. A part of me began to create scenarios in my head

EROS' POV"Some might say, Ms. Thompson, that you, yourself are an inconvenience." I said. Dalia stopped just at the door. She remained turned to me for a few seconds, before spinning around with a look of disbelief on her face."Excuse me?" She scoffed, and took a step closer to me, as if to hear me better when I spoke next. I looked back at my laptop and replied her."You're quite lucky, you know? Hell, if I were Jeffery, you would've been fired the moment you ran off of that stage.""Well it's good you aren't, Mr. West." Dalia responded with clenched teeth. I paused working and peeped from behind my screen, to see her much closer to my table now. She seemed rather distraught by my words, but I was not moved. Her hands were balled into small fists, like she was about to throw a punch at me, but I had picked up that it was simply something she did to manage intense emotion."Yes, I suppose, and it's good you aren't my personal assistant. You're one of the most incompetent people I've

EROS' POVBetty and I finished our lunch, and she was all set to leave for the airport. I walked her down to the parking lot, where Sebastian was already waiting for."Thanks for having me, Eros." Betty stopped when we arrived at my car and turned to me. The tension from the incident with Dalia had seemingly faded away, and was replaced by some sort of sentiment."Now you know it's always a pleasure when you're around." I replied."I'll be back." She chimed. She moved in closer, and wrapped her arms around me torso, burying her face in my chest. I returned the gesture, and squeezed her tightly."Just don't be too long." I said in a low tone. I ran my hand over her hair, and kissed the top of her head, before releasing her from my embrace. Betty hopped into the back seat, and shut the door. I stepped back, and watched as Sebastian started the car engine. The window of the back door rolled down, to reveal a smiling Betty."Bye, Grumpy." I said loudly. "Catch ya in a few weeks." The car

DALIA'S POVMy life had changed so much in just nearly four months. I was pregnant with the baby of a man I could not stand the sight of, and dad was bedridden at the home. Emily and I had gone to see dad every two weeks since I got the news. He didn't seem to be getting any better, but he didn't seem to be getting worse either. The extra care incured more expenses for me, but I didn't mind. Emily had also offered to pay half of the extra fees with me. I declined but after a passionate speech about how he was just a much as her dad as he was mine, and a long trip round memory lane, I gave in.After West asked for a paternity test, I asked my nurse how soon we could do one. She gave a look filled with judgement, but proceeded to tell me it could be done after the first fourteen to twenty weeks of pregnancy. I had passed this information across to Eros via email, as that had been our means of communication ever since I came to apologise at his office that day.I had not quite started sh

EROS' POVI sat at the back of my vehicle, as I waited for Dalia to come down. It hadn't occurred to me until just now in her office, how much she actually despised me. Of course, the feeling was mutual, and I was only slightly bothered because the possibilityofus having a child togethe. I was no stranger to being disliked, over the years I had made quite a number of enemies, but barely any of them were women. Even fewer were as young, and attractive as Dalia. I did not think much of her personality, or intelligence, but even I knew that Ms. Thompson was a gorgeous woman. Maybe under different circumstances, I would've slept with her on purpose. The front bell rang as the door opened and closed, and I saw Dalia coming down the steps. She had put a coat over her outfit, and tied her hair back in a low ponytail. She stood at the bottom of the stairs, looking in different directions in search of something. I realise the windows of my car are tinted, and that she cannot see, and then ask

DALIA'S POVI watched as all the blood drained from Eros' face. Dr. Ryan quickly noticed the shift in the aura, exchanging glances between Eros and I. She folded up the test results, and put it back in the torn envelope, before handing it over to me."I'll just be in the hall, in case you need me." She said quietly, before leaving us. Sebastian cleared his throat awkwardly, and walked over to where Dr. Ryan had just been standing."I'll be stepping out as well, Mr. West." He stated. Eros nodded, and Sebastian followed Dr. Ryan out, giving Eros and I some privacy. I took a couple deep breaths, and spoke."Still not sure it's yours?" I asked rhetorically, the moment I was sure Dr. Ryan and Sebastian were out of ear shot. I got up from the chair, and walked over to the opposite end of the cubicle. Eros let out a heavy sigh. He dropped his leg, and bent forward, bowing his head in between his spread legs, with his hands put together. "Now you've got nothing to say, huh? I hissed. I shook

EROS'POVIt felt like an earth quake in my car, as a climbed into the back seat and slammed the door shut. I almostt though I would just come apart as the vehicle shook from the force."You sure everything's alright, Mr. West?" Sebastian asked cautiously. I looked up into the rear view mirror, and caught his stare. Our eyes locked instantly, and I held my gaze for a minute or so, before watching as Sebastian shuddered, and looked away. "Alright then." He said under his breath. It was only when he looked forward that I was able to see my own eyes. They did not look like they belonged to me. They had taken on a slightly sinister appearance, the dark circles beneath them looked much darker, my eyes themselves had become narrow, and appeared sunken. It was almost like I was staring into two hollows."I've got to get a fucking grip." I mumbled, looking away from the mirror. Sebastian started the car, and began driving us back to West Inc. head quarters. I shut my eyes, and inhaled deeply,

EROS' POVMy phone rang for the twentieth time this morning."Should I get it, Mr. West?" Isaiah asked. With both hands in my pockets, I turned away from the large square window behind my work desk, and faced him."No, no." I objected. My chest heaved as I took a deep breath, pulled out my right hand and ran it through my hair. " I know who it is." Isaiah nodded slighty, and hummed in understanding. Dalia had sent me about fifteen emails in the last one week. My guess is that she soon realised she had to try other methods, and so she began to call my personal phone number. Not only did I have absolutely zero idea how she even got my number, but I was nearly losing my mind because of her persistent pestering. There was not a single day that passed where Dalia did not call my line, morning, noon, and night. Sebastian had also noticed, and was curious to know why I just wanted speak to the mother of my unborn child.Of course, to this I responded with some transfer of aggression disguise

DALIA'S POVI had rushed out the house without even having breakfast this morning, and it seemed my day had only gotten worse from there. I was very late for work this morning, but that was the thing that bothered me the least as I stepped through the large front doors of MELT head quarters. I had just come from West's office. Emily told me not to go, but I hadn't heard from him since we did the paternity test. I would describe Eros west a many unpleasant things, but never for once did I imagine that deadbeat father would be one of them. I was having a difficult time. Keeping up with work, and going to visit dad, we're already stressful enough before the pregnancy, now it just seemed like all odds were against me.My clothes were starting to feel a lille tight, as I had finally gotten my baby bump. It was a small bump that could still be hidden by baggy clothes, but it made everything so much more real for me. Emily tried her best to be there for me, video calling after work, and brin
