"Ambrose, baby, wake up," Matthew whispered as he gently shook Ambrose awake.Ambrose groaned in response as he covered his head with a pillow. "If you don't wake up, we're going to get an earful from your mother the moment we step out of our car so please get up. I've already picked out your clothes so all you need to do is shower and fix your face," Matthew said.Ambrose groaned louder and finally sat up on the bed. He dragged himself to the bathroom and finally took a shower. Matthew helped Ambrose dry his hair after he took a shower and had to help him get dressed too since the man was half awake the whole time. The color theme for the party was pastel green so Matthew was wearing a plain pastel green long-sleeved shirt and a pair of jeans while Ambrose was wearing a pastel green silk dress that fell just above his knees.Mathew decided to just carry AMrbsoe into the car and the man immediately fell back to sleep as they drove off. Ambrose tends to sleep a lot when he was extrem

"Why did you lie to me?" Mathew asked Ambrose the moment he opened the door for him.Ambrose didn't sleep, not even a wink, from last night. The bed felt so empty and every inch of his body was craving Matthew's touch. It was torture."Lie about what?" Ambrose asked."When I first asked you when you wanted kids, you said yes. Why did you lie?" he asked.Ambrose didn't know how to answer. He did agree when Matthew asked back then. Maybe it was the pressure coming from everyone else. Maybe because he didn't want to disappoint Matthew. Ambrose just stood there without an answer. Matthew sighed and pushed past him and went straight to their room. Ambrose followed behind him and found him packing up a bag."What are you doing?" Ambrose asked. "I need some time away. I just need to think," he replied."For how long?" he asked.Ambrose could feel his throat closing up as Matthew shoved pieces of clothes, one after another into the luggage."I don't know. Until my head clears, I guess," he

After being dragged into the bathroom by his father, Matthew's now being bathed like a two-year-old child. Michael was scrubbing his son vigorously since hasn't showered for the past few days. His mother, on the other hand, has offered nothing for comfort, thus sending Matthew deeper into depression."You can visit the babies today if you want," Michael said and it seemed to finally get Matthew's attention."How about Drake?" he asked, the first few words to be spoken by him after a few days."I'm not sure. Maybe he'll be there today too," he replied as he washed down his son's hair.Luckily, Matthew took it upon himself to dry off and get dressed."I should've told him that earlier," Michale muttered under his breath. He almost spent the whole morning dragging his more than two-hundred-pound son into the pond. That is equivalent to a week worth's of workouts. Michael just changed into some fresh clothes and bid goodbye to Lorraine before driving back to the hospital with Matthew. He

A few more months have passed and Ambrose still hasn't woken up despite being much more responsive than before. Matthew was slowly losing hope and he was starting to accept that Amrbsoe may no longer be part of their life. He was getting overwhelmed with taking care of two infants as well. Melanie, Lucas, and Michael have come over a few times to offer help whenever he had to be present at work.Melanie suggested hiring a nanny but Matthew was scared that he might end up being too complacent with the nanny and slowly neglect his duties as a father. As his work and children became more demanding, he finally caved and hired two after rigorous background checks. Matthew still felt guilty for not being there for his children when he was at work and his coming home when his children are asleep is definitely not helping. On his way home, Matthew decided to quickly visit Ambrose. The drive to the hospital became less dreadful the more Matthew started to accept that Ambrose may never wake up

Ambrose stared at the ceiling, waiting for sleep to come upon him. Ever since he woke up, he felt something different about Matthew. He even felt different when he heard that the children were already born. Whatever doubts he had before have vanished. However, there is the nagging feeling that they aren't telling the truth about Alana. He knew just by looking at Matthew's face but he didn't want to dwell on it. Mostly because he still felt too tired. Ambrose is excited to see the babies, it distracts him from the fact that he can't move the lower half of his body. There is a possibility that he may never be able to walk again. Ambrose closed his eyes for the nth time in an attempt to finally fall asleep. When he opened his eyes, he was already surrounded by nurses checking on his vitals. He looked out the window and saw the sun has already risen. He let out a sigh of relief upon realizing that he actually fell asleep. One of the nurses brought up a cup of water to his lip and assist
