It could have been anyone at all, why did it have to be Florencia Douglas? Why did it always have to be her? Every time she felt she had finally gotten close to Thomas, Florencia was always lurking somewhere, especially with Matilda Donovan, Thomas's mother, and the Luna of the evergreen pack.Maryanne sighed. She had left her wealth and her glorious family background to come and live and work with Thomas Donovan who had been her crush and obsession since her college days. Thomas was a bully and he was rude, yet she still managed to fall deeply in love with him. Thomas had never treated her nicely except he wanted her to teach Florencia something she was able to master about the computers in their company. Maryanne was a true prodigy in computers but she had somehow trained Florencia to become her rival in the same field all because of her obsession with ThomaMaryanne was in deep pain as she sat on her bed, reading the message that Thomas sent to her. He had asked her to come and pre

"Maryanne! Hurry up, the banquet is starting already! You will be introduced soon!" Sally exclaimed softly. If one took a look at Sally, one would assume she is as soft as her voice was. They would never know how strict and hardened she can be. Sally always did everything with top-notch elegance."Mom, what makes you think I heard you?" Maryanne said, walking down the stairs to find her mother, dressed just like royalty should. Her mother was beautiful, and she was happy to have inherited the beauty. Sally grabbed her cheeks softly, patting them. "Just two days at home and you have grown so beautifully! I can't wait to see what happens when he shows up today.""Who?" Maryanne asked.Sally giggled softly, shying away from the question. "Hurry now, we can't be late."Maryanne rolled her eyes. Her mother was just so pretty and petty too."Okay, Mom." She walked out of the house in her fairy dress. She didn't know whose idea it was to make such a dress for her but she loved it. The dres

Sally turned with a scowling face to the crowd. She was about to speak when Calhoun touched her shoulder."Allow me to handle it, Mother." He said. Sally's mood brightened immediately. Calhoun had called her mother. That meant he had accepted her. She smiled at him and nodded. The banquet finally ended and everyone began to disperse into smaller groups of friends and families. Some had left while some remained to congratulate the couple and their families. Thomas had been dissed by his mother and she left him together with Florencia. Thomas was mad and his anger was directed at Maryanne. He turned and found her standing a few feet away from him, right in front of the swimming pool. He smiled wickedly. She seemed to be sad. He walked stealthily over to her and before the girl could turn, he pushed her into the pool. The girl screamed, splashing around the water, trying to keep herself above the water. Thomas was satisfied, he turned and started running away, only to bump into Maryann

Maryanne had packed up her suitcases. She was in front of the car that was there to take her to the pack house. Michael had been deadly serious and he didn't even come out to send her off.Her mother was the only one who stood beside her, patting her cheeks softly."Don't mind your brother, he will come around," Sally said. Maryanne smiled softly. She could tolerate anybody else being mad at her but not Michael. He was her big brother, her only sibling. They have been together through thick and thin, she needed him the most now."Mama, couldn't he just come out to send me off?" "Am I not enough for you?" Sally refuted. "Mama is here. Don't mind him, I will send him out of the house and he won't enter in until he makes peace with you, okay?"Maryanne giggled softly. She knew that Sally would do it. Sally might pretend to be jealous of her relationship with Michael but she never tolerated them having fights. She hugged her one last time and then got into the car. Allison stood by the c

Maryanne couldn't describe the angst she felt. How could he ask her to join her servant in the kitchen and then say when her teachers came she could go out to meet them? What happened to him introducing her to them? Was it just because she didn't want him to give her a tour? Was that why he brought up all these talks? She knew what to do.She would calm down, listen to whatever he said, obey him, and yet she would block her heart from loving him. Making that resolution, she offered him a calm smile."Alright, let's go have the tour." She said.Calhoun smiled. "That's more like it. Um, let's start from here anyway, this is the kitchen. I know it's obvious, but I want you to understand.""So the pack house is unlike others, it's divided into four parts. The north wing, south wing, east wing, and west wing.""My chamber is on the east wing and so is yours." He said."I only have a room and not exactly a chamber." Maryanne voiced out.Calhoun chuckled. "you will find out soon."Maryanne d
