AMARA POV. "Jared!" His name passed my lips before I could stop it. He was standing alone as others passed him on their way to the exit. No sign of Claire anywhere. AMARA POV. The swoosh of the blades of the helicopter nearly lulled me to sleep as I sat next to Ace. The evening was actually enjoyable and a smile formed on my lips as I thought back to everyone that I met. I half expected them to treat me like an outcast, but I was warmly welcomed. I wondered if this was due to me being at Ace’s side but there were times that Ace had to leave me alone to speak to other alphas and the people that he left me with were kind.
