AMARA POV. He must have seen that I was afraid because he spoke to me softly. “I just want to talk.” He said as he took a small step towards one of the office chairs in front of his father’s desk and I felt my heart start to settle when he sat down. “I won’t hurt you, Amara. That I promise you.” He said and I slid down from the top of the couch to sit on the seat again. I swallowed nervously as I looked him over. He had his pants back on but not his shoes. He had put on his dress shirt again but didn’t button it up and his hard muscled abs were taunting me as he breathed while he sat there and I had to force my eyes back to his face. I had to take a breath because my face suddenly felt flushed and hot. “W- What are you?” I asked stupidly and to his credit he didn’t give me a sarcastic answer. “I am a werewolf, Amara.” He said and I swallowed. There was no jokiness in his demeanour and I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath as the truth of the situation started to sink in. “But how?”

ACE POV. To say that I barely slept is an understatement. I didn’t even come near my bed as I planted my ass in the chair in the bar lounge in the bottom of the house. I was very grateful to my grandfather for thinking of this.
