CHAPTER 22

SLOANE POV.

I watched as Jared stormed away from the Amara and Ace. I had to admit that it felt satisfying to see Jared break Amara’s heart by admitting that he cheated on her… that meant that he only had to get rid of Ace… then there would be nothing standing in his way to get Amara. I watched her walk away with Ace with the Milton seniors behind them and I follow. To my disappointment, I see them get into a helicopter and disappear out of sight. I stood there, trying to think of my next move all the while my father’s voice keeps echoing inside of my head. Warning me to stay away… I shake my head to clear it of his voice. I knew I shouldn’t do this, but I couldn’t help myself. After seeing Amara again, I realized that my feelings for her have never gone away, the medication only buried it deep down. I looked towards the sky where the chopper disappeared to.

Tomorrow, I’ll go back to that little bakery where I found out that she worked. It was a perfect setting to see her regularly…
