I UNKNOWINGLY SAVE AN ALPHA のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

CHAPTER 21 LIAM’S POV. I was very worried, as to the reason why Darren did what he did alongside Ruby. I knew that Darren did it to get back at Freda because of the way she refused to send me out of the house. I cussed silently and wished to know if it was all true. All of a sudden, I remembered something and sighed lightly. I suddenly remembered that Freda has never spoken about or even spoken to her family since he met her. I wondered if everything was alright and cool, because I knew that Freda would have told me if she had spoken to her parents. Not to brag though, but I feel I’m the closest person in her life. Well, I knew that I found it difficult to trust people, but I just can’t understand why I find it very easy trusting Freda. Like I believe every little thing she says, and it made me wonder if I was okay. I knew I wasn’t soft, I knew I was different, but I didn’t know it in the specific direction. I just hoped and wished every single day, that when I find out who

CHAPTER 23 LIAM’S POV. I’ve managed to come out of my shell, and I was glad that I overcame it quickly. I’ve been feeling weird of recent but I know I need to ignore whatever this feeling was just to be there for Freda. Freda was going through a lot and I swore that I was beginning to feel uncomfortable of the fact that she was thinking about my well-being despite facing all these. My phone’s ringtone jolted me back to reality and a light smile appeared on my face when I saw Freda as the caller ID. “Hey,” Her voice echoed and I chuckled lightly. I was happy that she was happy, even though I knew that it wouldn’t last long. “How are you?” I smiled lightly. “I’m okay, although I called to check up on you,” She said, her voice was loud and full of life. It was enough to ensure that she was okay. “I’m good,” I smiled and paused. “When are you coming back? I was thinking if we could watch a movie together,” I said “I’ll be back soon, and I’ll surely love to watch a movie with y

CHAPTER 25 FREDA’S POV. I don’t know if I found it difficult to move on from Darren or if I was just being stupid. I knew that the way I acted with Liam yesterday was so odd and weird, that I knew that the latter would be wondering if I was okay. How could I act indifferent to a news like that? How could my ex fiancé that broke my heart, suddenly show up to start hurting my patient—my friend. I picked up my phone and dialed his number. I waited patiently for it to ring, but it suddenly disconnected. It seemed he was out of a network coverage area, so that was why it didn’t connect. I sighed and dropped my phone on the desk with so much hatred coursing in my veins. I hated Darren so much, but deep down I knew I still loved him. I suddenly became confused about the particular feeling I had towards him, yet I still couldn’t place a finger on it. I remembered the way I had dodged Liam this morning and anything that would make him bring up the topic of us discussing whenever I w

CHAPTER 27 LIAM’S POV. Freda was ready to leave, yet I was shaking in nervousness. I wasn’t ready to be left alone in the house again, because I was beginning to be scared of my dreams—memories. “I’d need to find a job seriously,” I said, but didn’t know when I said it loudly. “What?” She asked with a weird look on her face, and I widened my eyes in shock. I didn’t know when I said it out....It was just meant to remain in my head. I flicked my head numerous times with a look of an apology, but Freda wasn’t ready to buy that. “Really,” She said and continued almost immediately when she didn’t get any response from me, “I thought we’ve spoken about this,” “Yeah, so it’s a slip of tongue,” I said and she stared at me for a while, before she ventured out of the house without a single word. She got straight into her car and after a few minutes, the engine ignited. Seconds after, She drove out speedily. It seemed like I didn’t even have time to say goodbye to her—or anything, re

CHAPTER 29LIAM’S POV. It has been a week since I opened up to Freda about my visions—Memories. I thought she had forgotten about it, until I caught her red handed today. She was surfing the internet, and I appeared behind her, but to my surprise...She was searching of what it meant when a amnesiac patient was remembering things, but instead, the patient do see himself turning into things he can’t decipher. I was so shocked when I saw it, but because of how engrossed she was, she never noticed I was behind her. She didn’t notice me standing there for over an hour, watching her as she surfed through websites, scrolls and documents—research on memory disorders. It was a fascinating read. She found that a few patients who could recall their memories were able to interpret these fragments only after a while. Some patients remembered them for years—months, even years—as if they were in their late thirties, sometimes older, sometimes younger. They are usually extremely intelligent
