Alpha Hunter: Saved by his Luna のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

[CASSANDRA’s Point-of-View] My feet just wouldn’t move. I looked back at the main hall and waited for Alpha Hunter. I didn’t see him at breakfast. He was not around in the castle as well, and when I tried to visit him in his bedroom, one of the soldiers told me that he had been away since last night because of an official and urgent business. "We have ta go now or ye wull git late, lassy Clark. Ye can’t be late on yer foremaist day of school." Sir Brochan called out for me from inside the sleek black car that would drive me to Crescent Ravenwood University, where I would spend four more years studying medicine.I gave Albrecht’s castle one last look before I went inside the car. This place gave me good and bad memories, and I know I will miss it. Not because it’s the most luxurious place I've ever stayed, but because every part of this place reminded me of Alpha Hunter. I closed my eyes. In my mind, I saw his gorgeous amber eyes, his thin lips, his chiseled jaw, and his perfectly p

"You are not a prisoner in this place, Cassy. You should go with me and have fun!" Geneva adjusted her round eyeglasses on the bridge of her nose and then pouted at me, "Please?! All freshmen newcomers will be there and you can’t miss it!"I knew that the party would be a trap. I was one hundred percent sure Sandra Andersen and Kaya Miller would be there, so there was no way I would go wherever that place was. It would only ruin my night, and who knows what those two will do once they spot me there? No, there’s no way I would go there.I wish I could tell Geneva the real reason, though. But I couldn’t just tell someone the whole story of why I had to avoid those two b*tches. Maybe it was for the best that Geneva saw me as an introvert who would rather stay in her room and read books than go to parties and have horrible hangovers in the morning.Besides, I promised Alpha Hunter I would behave in this place, and I never broke a promise to anyone. Even to a man who forced me to stay in C

I forced myself to get up and get ready for school. The whole day was actual torture for me. Fortunately, it was just another ordinary day in the class, and no serious exams were given to us by the professors. I didn’t eat anything from breakfast to lunch because I didn't have any appetite at all after I confirmed that Sandra was still Alpha Hunter’s marked mate and I was still a nobody in his life. Just someone with whom he was expecting to have a baby and nothing more.I saw Geneva in the hallways with her other friends. I immediately ran away from her and pulled the hood of my jacket over my head to hide my face from everyone. I was just not in the mood to talk to anyone. My heart felt sad, and I felt upset in my stomach. There was this uncomfortable, fluttering feeling in it that made me sick all day. I wished that I just stayed in the dorm and cried myself to sleep until my eyeballs rolled out of my face."Cassy?"I stopped organizing my books inside my locker and realized it was

"I will go with you."I looked at the old, pudgy lady. The professor seemed reluctant about Geneva going with me, but Geneva gave her a cheerful smile. The sound of her voice seemed assertive, "Right, Miss Shirley?"I frowned because the professor nodded at her like an obedient puppy. Geneva immediately pulled me away from the table and giggled, which confused me. Why does she seem excited about it? It was the Chancellor! The CEO of this university wanted to see me! I thought of something I did that could be a valid reason for me to get expelled. But it was the encounter with Sandra that first came to mind. Were they going to kick me out of school just because I was the last person seen talking to her?My throat felt tight. My heart was racing. Were they thinking I killed Sandra?"Stop shaking, Cassy. Try to calm yourself down. Don’t let them think you are scared, or they will think you are guilty of something," Geneva whispered into my ear."You think they suspect me about the incid

‘What are you doing here?"I gasped. The silence was broken by the voice that slightly echoed inside the school’s natatorium. The air was thick and muggy, and yet I couldn’t make myself dive into the cool water—of the same pool where Sandra Andersen died. I knew that it was thoroughly cleaned by the caretakers, and yet there was an eerie feeling crawling up my skin to the sides of my face. Like cold whispers urging me to jump—to see what was waiting for me underneath it.To see if she was still underneath it.I turned in the direction of the voice. My face paled with fear. My body was trembling. In my mind, Sandra was still there. Floating. Dead. Then, in a flash of a second, I saw myself in the water. My glassy eyes stared blankly at me, blank and empty. Like a broken doll.My knees suddenly collapsed, and I fell to the floor, shaking. I panicked, and my lips trembled as sobs emerged from my throat. I was too weak and terrified to move. I didn’t know why I came here. I didn’t know w
