Nathan’s povLeaving Lexi was hurting me and I paused at the top of the stairs debating on whether or not I should go back. My Lycan was pestering me to place my mark but I continued to deny him.It felt strange for me to care so much about how Lexi viewed me and I regretted the things I had done and said about her in the old pack.“She was our mate and you did her bad,” Vukas growled sourly in my mind.“I'm going to make it up to her but I must deal with my insane mother first,” I tell him regretfully.Hearing the screen door slamming shut below I stepped down the stairs to see the front door wide open and someone with a flashlight outside.Heading out onto the small porch I called out, “What are you doing?!”Surprised to see my brother waving the flashlight at me to join him.Jogging up to him he asked me how Lexi was.“She's good but told me she believes that if I destroy the bitch my soul will regret it,” I muttered sourly.“Yeah right, well she doesn't know how badly Kali abused

Lexi’s pov'sRemoving my clothes I noticed that my abdomen had become a bit swollen and I asked my wolf how long my gestation would be.“It's hard to say since I am unsure about lycans and how long they take but I would assume three months,” she answered.“I will have to do homeschooling,” I muttered, then added, “ I'd like to get my high school diploma.”The door opened and I covered my breasts and crotch to see Nolan eyeing me with an appreciative grin.“What are you doing?”“I'm coming with you guys. You're my mate, Lexi and I care about your well-being,” He asserted as he started to unbutton his shirt.I watched his fingers undo each button and felt heat pooling between my legs.“Nathan is going to be extremely angry that you are going to go look for him due to the pup you're carrying,” he said roughly.“He is my mate Nolan and I have to be sure he is alright. I would do the same thing for you,” I explained.I watched with narrowed eyes as he hesitated with the last button on his

Lexi's pov'sI woke up wedged between Nolan at my front and Stanley spooning me. Scooting myself downward past their feet I freed myself from them both.Grabbing some clothes I went to my bathroom and changed before sneaking out of my room and heading to the kitchen. As I passed the boy's room the door opened and Nathan stood there glaring at me. His freshly showered scent tantalized my senses causing my lip to curl on its own.I paused when he asked me where his brother was.“He is in my bed with Stanley,” I answered with my brow raised, waiting for him to challenge me.Growling low he brushed past me and stormed into my room.My heart raced in my chest yet I frowned when he didn't look back. I exhaled deeply in my disappointment. “Why is he so damn stubborn,” I muttered to Nova. She responded, “Because he's a Lycan and very different from a typical wolf. What are you expecting from him?”That's the same thing Stanley had told me last night when I opened up to him about what I was

Lexi's pov'sShaking my head at them arguing I watched the house come into view and felt my heart racing.“Why do I get like this with Nathan,” I asked my wolf.“Because you're carrying his pup, he is your mate and you aren't marked by him yet, silly,” she laughed at me.Pinching my lips I rubbed my hands together feeling my palms sweating. Was I apprehensive suddenly?“Does Nolan have real concerns about his brother killing me,” I asked Nova and my heart dropped when she answered with a yes.I swallowed nervously as Nolan skidded to a stop and remained seated behind the wheel. He didn't make any attempts to stop me or even exit his vehicle.“Aren't you going to come upstairs with me,” I questioned him.He huffed out emotionally, “You must go alone, Lexi.”Wrinkling my nose I glanced over at Stanley and he nodded as he gestured toward the front door.“You're his mate and that trumps a brother or an ex-wife,” he stated with a toothy grin.“Fine you pussy bitches,” I growled sourly and

Lexi's pov'sFinding Lily with two other staff in the cooking area in the rear of the kitchen I hurried to her side.“Lily, Nathan needs some meat to heal himself,” I explained.Chuckling, she went to the refrigerator and brought out a huge porterhouse steak.“Give me a moment to sear it on each side and plate it while it still has a little moo in it…It's just the way he likes it,” she said with a wink.Thanking her I stood back while she slapped it onto a hot griddle and added some spices. The aroma filled the air and my mouth started to water.“What are you doing, daughter?”Turning to see my Mom standing there I was at a loss for words. Thankfully Lily said, “She is waiting for me to finish up with Nathan’s meal, Luna.”“Johnathan will be happy that you can help him. He wasn't cooperating with his dad,” my mom said softly and I nodded.Smiling at me but still looking concerned, she hugged me.“Please be careful, Johnathan has told me that Nathan can be unpredictable,” she muttered
