Fangs and Feelings 2 { Kisses of the Dark } のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 51 - チャプター 60

As we drove home from the hospital, Kacie was quiet, lost in thought. I couldn't help but wonder what was going through her mind. Was she relieved that she wasn't pregnant, or was she disappointed? The thought hung thick on my chest.I reached out and took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze."Hey, are you okay?" I asked, trying to sound casual. She turned to me with a small smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit tired, I guess."I nodded, feeling a bit frustrated. I wanted to know what was really going on in her head, but I didn't want to push her too hard. When we got home, Kacie went straight to bed, saying she needed to rest. I watched her go.I followed her to our bedroom and stared on as she tucked herself under the bed without as much as bidding me goodnight. Now that's weird. Since after we continued our relationship, Kacie will never go to bed without whispering sweet nothing into my eyes and vice versa.I brushed whatever thoughts creeping into my mind and slip into the bathro

“What?” He let go of me, and I moved away.“The painting in your room. Who's that woman?” I asked, my voice a notch higher.“It's none of your business. Did you touch it?" He asked coldly.I crossed my arms. “And why are you more concerned about that, than answering my question?” A smile touched my lips, before I smothered it off.He advanced towards me, slowly. With each step he took, I took one backward. Then, he halted. His face, a complete stoic mask, finally cracked after a while.“Answer the fucking question, Grenade.” He spat.“My name's West. And no, I didn't touch it. Now I'd like to eat.” I rubbed on my belly slowly. He arched his brow. “And what makes you think I'd let a stranger eat in my Dimora?” He questioned.“Oh?” I straightened. “You had no objections with fucking a stranger in your Dimora- whatever that means.” I retorted. He finally laughed, and I stared on, captivated for a moment. His laughter was…heart tingling.“The dining room is five doors to your left, after

I decided to take Kacie out to one of my hidden penthouse. As I had promised her, I didn't go to the office today. I made Amad go in my stead. At least he would watch over the company to monitor any unusual threat."Common throw the ball. Don't be a boring boyfriend." Kacie yelled from the other end of the pool. At least he would watch over the company to monitor any unusual threat.I smiled, tossing the beach ball in my hand. "You want it, come get it," I teased, knowing she'd take the bait.Kacie splashed into the water, swimming towards me with a determined look on her face. I chuckled, waiting for her to reach me. As she approached, I tossed the ball high into the air, and she leapt out of the water, catching it with a triumphant grin."You're so competitive," I said, laughing, as she swam back to me, ball in hand."It's because I always want to win," she said, her eyes sparkling with mischief.I pulled her close, our bodies touching in the cool water. "You've already won me over

I walked gently down the stairs trying as much as I could to stifle in a smile. But it didn't work though, as a bright smile cover the whole of my face.I could tell from the way he shivered when I came out dressed in that gown that he was beginning to like me.Try as he might behave rudely to me always, he can't change the truth.Truth that could be very dangerous to you."Ahh. Get a hold of yourself Kacie."His warning that night was scaring, particularly his face."You must never fall in love with me, Kacie. The day you do, would be your end.” his warning kept ringing in my head and clearly it wasn't something ordinary that I could toy with.I continued walking slowly when the pain came again same way it did when I was at the pool. Except this one grip was tight caging me into the vast ocean of pain.I held on very tight to my stomach, my vision was already hazy at this point"Please... " I almost shouted when I felt an excruciating pain tear from my abdomen to my chest.I bent lo

"What are you doing in my gallery?." His thick cold voice boomed behind me jolting me out from my reverie.I slowly turned to face him. I hadn't expected him back so soon, when I woke up from my long sleep he wasn't in the bed.My palms felt sweaty and cold against each other. I'm sure he's pissed off seeing me in his gallery. Before I could compose a very convincing excuse, he had kept the laptop in his hands on the bed and raised me up like I was a compressed air.He carried me away straight to my room and put me on the bed."Where did you go to ? You weren't on the bed with me when I woke up." I asked him slowly. He let go of me and stood up from the bed turning his back on me.I stared at him speechlessly. What is he trying to do ? Didn't he get my question.I was already trying to throw the same question at him but stopped when he began saying something."I went to take care of an urgent matter. And also forget about what happened yesterday.""Don't start nursing the thought tha
