Chapter 51 Poison

Third Person's POV The Omega sits in the window as meditation music plays behind him. The sun warms his pale skin that is only covered in a large oversized white t-shirt and black shorts. His bare feet are tucked under one of the cushions and pressed against the cool wood below it. His arms are wrapped tightly around his legs, and his cheek rests against his knees. He stares outside, watching people go in and out of the woods. He can tell which ones have recently shifted; their hair is a mess, and they're either wearing shorts or sweatpants. Every now and then, he hears the howl of a wolf running free in the woods. He closes his eyes and pictures his own wolf. His eyes sting and burn as they fill with tears, rolling down his face as he pictures his beautiful fur. “Spirit,” He whispers as he pictures his wolf's beautiful white fur and bright blue eyes. He searches the depths of his head, as deep as he can. He looks into every dark place but comes up empty. The Omega buries his face

Chapters 52 Movie Night

Third Person's POV EJ leaned his head back in the shower and sighed as the hot water rained down on his aching muscles. Anders kicked his ass on the training field this morning before helping him move all of his stuff to Ollie's pack. EJ didn't realize how much crap he had accumulated over the years, it was way more than he realized. He lost count of how many times he went up and down those stupid stairs, and not just at River Pack, but at his new one, too. It wouldn't have been so bad if Anders didn't wipe the field with body beforehand, not to mention the chunk his stupid bear almost took out of his ass when he tried to walk away from him. The stupid jerk laughed at him every time he saw him wince.Steam poured out of the shower as EJ stepped out, wrapping a towel around his waist and then grabbing a second towel to dry his hair. EJ rubs his hand on the mirror so he can see. He looks down and sees a box filled with Ollie's stuff that he hasn't unpacked yet. The Alpha smiles and op

Chapter 53 A day together

Third Person's POV Both Omegas lie in their tent with their heads hanging out so they can look up at the sky. Their arms are hooked together as they talk. The twins spent the entire day together, starting just before breakfast. They did everything from breakfast to a run through the forest in their beautiful brown bears, which are much smaller than their fathers and mates, to lunch in town at their favorite diner before visiting their friends. At first, Ollie was quiet and timid, but the longer they were together, the more the Omega relaxed. The more he relaxed, the more the old Ollie emerged. Getting the smaller Omega to begin pulling pranks didn't take much convincing. The Omegas giggled as Ivy chased them out of the pack house, where they stumbled over each other and rolled in the grass in a fit of laughter.Somewhere along the lines, Ollie began to find himself again. What happened in that room didn't leave him, but it no longer consumed his every thought; it no longer defined h

Chapter 54 Good Morning

Third Person's POV The Omega didn't sleep in his tent like they had planned, but he did sleep in his Alpha Bear's arms. Truthfully, as fun as the idea of sleeping in the tent was, there was no other place he'd rather sleep than in the arms of his Alpha. The morning sun rays shined into the room, reaching onto the bed and warming the Omega's exposed skin. He feels the warmth of his Alpha's body, which he's curled up tightly to. Ollie’s head rests on his chest, his right leg draped over EJ, and the Alpha's strong arms are wrapped around him.He feels the warmth of the sun on his back, and it slowly wakes him. The Omega lifts his head and looks down at his Alpha's sleeping face. His heart flutters as he looks down at him. He's so handsome. His chest is so muscular. The peaks of his chest are massive, and the ripples of his stomach are present even as he sleeps. His facial hair is just long enough to run his fingers through. He loves how it's longer on his chin and shorter as it rises up

Chapter 55 Hope

Third Person's POV “I don't know, what if it doesn't work? It's going to make it worse. You'll hurt him even more,” Asher said as he dragged his hand down his face and began pacing. “If it fails, I'll take full responsibility, but I don't think it will. I know he's in there. I just know it!” Michael said, pulling Asher to a stop, kissing the side of his face, and then pushing him toward the trees. “Make sure he doesn't see you,” Michael said before turning to face the warrior with Alpha blood. He looked more nervous than Asher. “I, I don't know about this. I-I, what if he doesn't stop?” “Calm down! Don't worry about him, I will. You just focus on your job, and that's hurting me as much as you can,” Michael said, and the Alpha swallowed thickly. The warrior looked into the woods and prayed Asher would keep his word. He looked forward, looked at Michael, and swallowed before quickly moving forward and landing a solid punch to Michael's face. ~Noah held the little girl in his arms,

Chapter 56 Botner

Third Person's POV “Has anyone ever told you you smell weird?” The annoying thing in the seat behind Maverick asked. The Omega in the seat behind Maverick hasn't stopped talking since the moment they pulled away from the pack house. He began to regret begging to go with Coal. What made it worse was Coal saw his regret and misery. The little shit was smirking every time he looked at him. “Has anyone ever told you you're annoying?” “All the time!” Noah said happily, a smile beaming on his face as though he had just given him a compliment. Maverick groaned and glanced in the backseat at the other Omega. “So, you're some kind of plant expert, huh?” Maverick said, hoping to shut the other one up. Kyle smiled as he turned his head away from the window and looked at Maverick. “Yes, I guess you can say that. I'm a botner!” “Are we taking you there so you can check out their garden?” “Yes. I asked them to collect samples from all of their crops. I'm also going to take samples from the

Chapter 57 Working together

Kyle's POV I'm surprised I was able to focus with Kevin around. It was only when I had to look at him that I became a fumbling mess. It also didn't help in the least bit when he spoke. His voice was so smooth and just the right tone. It wasn't soft, but it wasn't deep, it was perfect! It sent a shiver down my spine each time his voice broke the silence. I wondered if anyone else could see how much his voice affected me; I hope they couldn't. “Kyle, I hate to do this, but I really have to go,” my assistant Carla said, turning away from the slides and stretching. “Any other time, I'd stay until you kick me out, but my terrified mate is finally starting to warm up to me. I promised him a special evening tonight. I'm going all out for dinner. I'm making prime rib. He's never had anything like that before. I don't want to go back on my word. You know how hard that is for abused Omegas. Our word is everything until they fully trust us,” Carla said, reminding me of her newly rescued mate,

Chapter 58 Family Night

Kyle's POV I'm a nervous wreck as I walk to his room. My palms are sweating and my heart is racing. I know I'm early, but it's better to be early than late. I stop in front of his door and am suddenly more nervous than ever. My stomach twists in knots as I try to find the strength to raise my hand and knock on the door. When I finally did, I nearly had a heart attack when the door opened before my hand touched it. “Oh, hey! What are you doing here?” He asked, and my stomach dropped. Did I hear him wrong earlier? Maybe he forgot, or changed his mind. I felt stupid and wanted to disappear.“Oh, I-I thought you were going to the movies with me?” I said, stepping back and ready to walk away. “I am! What I meant was I was getting ready to come get you. Now I don't get to impress you by picking you up,” he said as he stepped into the hall and pulled the door closed. I felt a rush of excitement and my heart beat faster. He wanted to impress me! “So, where's this theater at?” Kevin asked

Chapter 59 Movie night

Third Person's POV Thaddeus chose their spot, a snuggle chair in the second row. He lifted the blanket and opened his arms when his Omega approached. His beautiful blue eyes sparkled, even in the darkness. Aiden crawled into his Alpha's lap and snuggled in against his chest. Thaddeus' fingers press against the underside of his chin and tilt Aiden's head back. The Omega's heart skips when their eyes meet. “Hi, sweetheart,” Thaddeus said, and Aiden melted. “Hi,” He whispered, and his eyes fluttered closed when Thaddeus captured his lips.Thaddeus groaned when he tasted his mate's kiss. His strong tongue wrapped around the Omega's, twisting and twirling, caressing Aiden's tongue and leaving him breathless…Vanessa looked away when they kissed. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat. All this love and sappiness wasn't something she was used to. She wondered if it was the mate bond that made them so sappy and lovey-dovey. She thought it had to be the bond, because Aero was never affection

Chapter 60 An Open Book

Kyle's POV I could barely focus on the movie. I couldn't stop stealing glances at him. I found myself scooting closer to Kevin, and my breath caught when our arms touched. I hated the armrest that divided us. I wished we sat in a snuggle chair, but I was too shy to ask if he wanted to sit in one with me. I know it's not a date, and he probably doesn't like me like that. I would have been humiliated if he said no. I'm not ugly; I'm pretty average for an Omega. I'm nothing like Kevin. Not only is he incredibly smart, he's gorgeous! His eyes are heavenly! His smile takes my breath away, and the way he smells… oh Goddess, he smells incredible! He definitely works out and trains because he has muscles, unlike the rest of us, who spend all our time nose-deep in work. Heck, even at home, I'm still thinking about work and find myself with my nose buried in a book or researching something online. I stole another glance at the sound of his laughter and nearly fainted when I saw his smile. I l
