Chapter 71 Meant to be

Third person's POV “Mine!” Kyle whispered through tears, and Kevin's heart soared. He had dreamed of this moment for over 16 years. When the Omega walked into his lab almost a week ago, he was struck by his beauty. His creamy pale skin was flawless, and his green eyes stood out against it. The way his dark chocolate hair had a slight curl and rested against his forehead made his light green eyes stand out even more. There was something about the Omega that drew him in. The more he got to know him, the harder he fell. He wasn't just a beautiful Omega. He was incredibly smart and intelligent. He had a smile that could light up the room, and the way he constantly blushed in his presence drove his wolf wild. He stumbled over his words so cutely and squirmed under his gaze. At first, Kevin thought it was simply an Omega reaction to his rank and position. He never thought this amazing little Omega who belonged to the royal family would ever be interested in him, but he was. The Delta 1 m

Chapter 72 The call of the gate

Third Person's POV Azalea presses her lips into a thin line as she looks from her book and watches her mate. He's been different since he came back from Mike's pack. He seems distant and always lost in thought, just as he is now. The book he was reading rested in his lap as he stared out at the sky. She wishes she knew what he was thinking. Every time she asks, he tells her nothing and says he was just zoning out. She can tell it was a lie. The way he looks when he's staring off into space, she can tell he's deep in thought. The way his muscles twitch around his eyes, and the way, at times, she can see fire swirling in those eyes. She's even caught the faint scent of smoke rolling off of him once or twice. “Is everything okay?” Azalea asked when Maverick set his book down and stood. “Yes, I just need some air,” Maverick said, kissing her head and stepping onto the balcony. Maverick takes a deep breath in through his nose to clear his senses. He places his hand on the railing and

Chapter 73 This is real

Third Person's POV Azalea steps out of the bathroom, refreshed with clean panties. She finds Maverick lying on the bed with his hands behind his head, staring at the ceiling. The familiar scent of smoke fills her nose the closer she gets to the bed. Her heart clenches, and she exhales when she sees fire burning in his eyes. She knew she could wave her hands in front of his face, and he wouldn't see them. Whatever he is thinking about, that's where he is, and all he sees. She sighs before crawling onto the bed and lying down on top of him. Her hand rested on his face, and his eyes rapidly blinked, pushing whatever he was thinking of out of his head and coming back to her. When his eyes land on her, he feels guilty. She looks sad and concerned. He couldn't help it. The gate is constantly calling to him, and when she's not there, it becomes louder and consuming. “I'm sorry, my little angel. I will tell you when the time is right,” He said softly, and his head lifted off the pillow a

Chapter 74 Other Details

Kyle's POV My parents were gone by the time we came out of my room. It was kind of nice to have the entire apartment alone. It made me realize that it's time to move out. Unlike higher ranks who move out as soon as they turn 18, Omegas tend to stay at home with their parents until they find a mate. Higher ranks desire and thrive being alone, but Omegas don't. It's lonely and depressing. We thrive with the company of others. We need that interaction and affection. Without it, we become depressed, our health declines, and we become weaker. The thought of moving out and living with Kevin sent a whole new wave of excitement through me. I couldn't stop talking as I moved throughout the kitchen, preparing our lunch. I was talking to Kevin about one thing, but my brain couldn't stop thinking about living with him. I began to wonder if this is what it'll feel like every day. Him sitting there at the counter watching me while I prepared our meals. That thought sent another wave of exciteme

Chapter 75 Purrs

Third person's POV The soft rumble of a delicate Omega's purr was the most beautiful sound the Beta had ever heard. His warm body lies pressed against his. A permanent smile is etched on Brandon's face as his fingers trail lazy patterns on Leo's back. It takes the Beta back 2 weeks: The Omega's beautiful body still glistened with sweat, and he smelled of Brandon from head to toe. The Omega has never felt so happy and content. His body slightly ached, and he loved it. He feels so full—his mate's knot has locked him firmly in place, making sure none of his Beta's seed goes to waste. His beautiful light brown skin only had a hint of red remaining as the throes of his heat had temporarily subsided. His thirst for his Beta's knot is temporarily quenched, and he happily purrs as he nuzzles the underside of Brandon's chin, causing the Beta's heart to swell. He has only heard the Omega purr briefly here and there, but nothing like this. It's the most beautiful sound he's ever heard—the sou

Chapter 76 Purrs and Questions

Third Person's POV It's been a little over a month, and EJ feels like he almost has the old Ollie back. For the most part, Ollie seems like his old self, but at times, he can still see the signs of the brief hell he lived under Anton's roof. Any angry tone has the Omega shrinking back in fear, and if you raise your hand too quickly, he flinches. It's not as bad as it used to be, but it's still there; he still reacts. The nightmares don't come as often, but they still come. That bastard still manages to haunt him in his sleep. There are times when the Omega is alone with his thoughts, and it looks like he's reliving something that happened there. When EJ glanced up from the book he was reading, he saw that familiar far-away look in Ollie's eyes that told him this is one of those times he's sinking back into a bad memory. The flowers he was picking rested in his lap as he stared off with a faraway look. His happiness is gone, clouded by a darkness that surrounds him. EJ sets the bo

Chapter 77 I'm disgusting

Third Person's POV It was one thing when he was alone and sucked back into memories with Anton. But it was a whole other thing when asked about it, and forced back into those memories. The memories came quickly, images of Anton's angry face were suddenly right in front of him, making the Omega flinch and scramble back. He saw his raised hand as he prepared to strike him, and Ollie cried out as he covered his face.He felt the terror all over again as he watched Anton drag his brother into that room. The scene changed, and he felt his brother's hand on his wrist as they tried running out of the room. The Omega shrieked again when he felt Anton grab a handful of his dreadlocks, yanked him back into the room, and threw him to the ground as he slammed and locked the door.He felt his mate's foot connect with his side, and he curled into a ball. He cried out again when Anton grabbed him by the hair and pulled him to his feet. It stung. It felt like his hair was being ripped from his head.

Chapter 78 Lighter

Third Person's POV “Did everything I said make sense?” EJ asked, his thumb caressing the Omega's back as he sat, straddling his lap. The Omega nods, and EJ smiles. “Do you understand that the way your body reacted wasn't what you wanted, and it wasn't your fault?” EJ asked, wanting to hear the Omega say it out loud so he would know he understood that what happened wasn't his fault.Ollie bashfully nods. He may understand, but he's still embarrassed by what happened and how his body reacted. “Ollie… I want to hear you say it. I want to make sure you know that the way your body reacted doesn't make you bad or evil. I want to make sure you know that it wasn't your fault. None of it was! You were the victim. You didn't want that to happen to you. Do you understand, baby?” The Omega's stomach fluttered when he called him baby. The tone and the endearing word itself had him swooning. “Y-Yes… I understand… It's just… It's still embarrassing. I hate thinking about it, or talking about it

Chapter 79 Does he feel this

Brandon's POV I groan as I try to wake up. My body feels like it's been hit by a train. I lick my lips and try to move my hands to rub my eyes, but I can't move them far. I heard the clanking of chains when I moved my hands, and it confused me. After blinking my eyes several times, my vision finally clears, and I squint as I lift my head and look around. When I look around, I don't recognize my surroundings, but I do recognize the scent of this place and feel the familiarity of the pack I’m in. I'm immediately aware that I'm no longer in Mike's pack, and my stomach sinks. I look at my wrist and ankles, and I find that I'm lying on a bed, chained to it. I growl in frustration and begin yanking on the chains, trying to break free. It doesn't take long to figure out I can't. The metal is too strong. So, I decided to make as much noise as possible. Pulling on the chains and shaking them, I call the bastard's name.“MARK! GET YOUR ASS IN HERE!” I hear his voice as he talks to someone in

Chapter 80 Scent

Third Person's POV Leo nervously paced outside the hospital room, hoping they would find a heartbeat. He doesn't want him to die, at least not before he gets answers. The door opens, and Leo spins around, eager for news. Alpha Mike approaches the nervous Omega. He rubs his hands along Leo’s arms, trying to calm him. “He's not awake yet. They're still trying to remove the wolfsbane. Whoever did this loaded him up with so much that they nearly killed him, but we managed to save him. He had a heartbeat, but it was just so weak we couldn't feel it. They're cleaning his blood as we speak. It was the only way to save him. They couldn't use the antidote yet because there's too much poison in his system, and it would have taken too long. Once they've removed enough, they can give him the antidote. He's not going to be awake for a while. There's not much else we can do here. Why don't you let me take you home?” Mike said.Leo's lip trembles, and he shakes his head. “No! This is the last p
