Donatello, or Donnie for short, is our new Hawaiian pet. When we finally got out of the water to set sail, Donnie actually tried to climb the stairs with her. She was a sea turtle goddess who transformed from a turtle to a human girl to protect all of the Keiki, the Hawaiian word for children. Jake said being loved by a turtle is a special thing that means she is very special and has the spirit of Kaulia in her. He also said that children would be drawn to her because of her spirit. Nathan’s POVI came up from changing to find Amelie hugging Madison. What a change a couple of days make. I truly trust Amelie’s gut feeling on Madison, but I’m still leery of her. I can’t get the image of her at the top of the stairs as Amelie lay at the bottom of them.
