Carson POV I finally saw the King and Queen enter the ceremony hall, smiling at the people who stood as they entered. Once they had their positions, the King gestured to the guards to open the doors and permit Marly to enter the hall. As the doors opened, I expected to see her standing there. But she was not. Marly POV The pain in my head was excruciating. I could not open my eyes, but felt tears track out the corners as I recalled what had happened before I passed out. “Carson?” I managed to mumble but he did not respond. My heart started to beat faster, as I tried to open my eyes, once again, but with no luck. I slipped back into unconsciousness, waking some time later. The headache had improved slightly, and I was able to crack my eyes open. I quickly shut them as the bright light was causing me pain. “Hello?” I whispered, as I heard a shuffling to my right. I was laying on something hard, but I did not smell antiseptic. I was not in a hospital, but I felt like I needed one. “I can hear you breathing. Who are you?” I demanded a little more strongly.
