His Rogue Luna: Bound To The Midnight Alpha のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 1 - チャプター 10

~ LAYLA ~ I open my eyes and pull at the chains around my wrists again. ”I see you’re awake.” His voice is deep and smooth, but there is mockery in it. I don't react. I don’t say anything. Not yet. It is smarter to stay quiet for the meantime, at least until I know what is going on. I hear his footsteps approaching me slowly. They stop just as his figure steps into the soft pale yellow light now at the center of my cell. My breath catches in my throat. It is really him. Raelin Michaelson. The Midnight Alpha. I know it the second I see his face. I have seen pictures of him, but this is the first time in my life that I am physically seeing him up close. And to be honest, he is.... sinfully gorgeous. The powerful energy around him nearly knocks the air out of my lungs. The ‘M’ carved into the golden ring on his finger, and the pack symbol on his jacket, they all confirm what I already feared. I am hanging in front of the one Alpha who would rather see a rogue like me dead tha

~ LAYLA ~ A little girl rushes in, tightly holding a clear water bottle in her hands. “Here Uncle Ray, I brought the—” “Shit!" Raelin shouts, his whole body suddenly tensing up. "What are you doing down here?!” The girl’s eyes flash wide, but she doesn't flinch at his loud voice. “No curse words, Uncle Ray,” she scolds him like it’s the most normal thing in the world. “Mummy doesn’t know I’m here.” Who is this? “Please don’t tell Mommy." Her voice is fast and bubbly. “I don’t want Nora getting in trouble because of me. I just wanted to see—” “It’s alright Cupcake,” Raelin cuts in, his voice suddenly calm. He crouches down in front of her, looking almost… gentle. Next, he reaches out to take the bottle. But the girl pulls it back, holding the water firmly in her tiny hands like her life depends on it. Fucking little rascal. Raelin smiles. “Come on, Cupcake. I don’t have all day to play games with you. Besides, your little secret is safe with me.” His voice sounds so gentle

~ RAELIN ~ Wes and I are about a hundred meters away from the water fountain in front of the Packhouse. And she is there. Another new problem of my day. Kira Gandall. She is standing there, wearing the shortest, skimpiest black skirt I have ever seen and a yellow corset blouse barely covering her ample cleavage. She is twirling her black hair in her fingers, her glossy lips curling into a smile when she sees me approaching. “What the hell?” I mutter under my breath. “Yeah. That’s exactly what I said when I saw her spying on Cal and me during our training this morning,” Wes says, shaking his head. “She was acting really weird. Like, full-on creepy.” “I do not want to deal with her right now,” I groan, rubbing my eyes. Wes laughs. “Then don’t. Just let her talk her shit and walk away. Don’t let her waste your time longer than she should.” I sigh deeply. Kira Gandall is the kind of person who loves drama. Ever since we were kids, I have known something about her wasn’t right. Sh

~LAYLA ~ She is fucking gone. I unfold my arms, turn around, and head back to my bunk bed. Reaching it, I settle down on the bed. My fingers dig into the foam as I curse, venting out my pent-up desperation. “Fuck!” I am really trying so hard not to lose my mind in here, but I am realizing that the longer I stay in this cell, the harder it will be for me to hold onto the last strings left of my sanity. I hate this feeling. This feeling of always being trapped. Of being powerless and incapable of being free. And now, on top of that, a crazy shewolf is dying to rip me apart. Isn't that amazing? My stomach growls, still hungry, and I take a look at my supposed dinner. My fingers graze the soft crust of the loaf of bread on the plate. It is cold now. I pull back my fingers. My life is in danger in here. Anyone, especially that crazy shewolf, can easily slip poison into whatever food that will be brought to me. Thankfully, I know this precious food right in front of me is not p

~ RAELIN ~I am so going to fucking kill Wes after this. His offer, our supposed offer, still awaits Layla's response. Silence hovers above all three of us. Five of us to be exact. My Gamma Cal and his friend Derek are still waiting impatiently by the tree near us, their paws furiously scratching through the brown dirt on the forest floor.I feel their annoyance, because I understand it myself too. My mate here is so fucking stubborn, a trait I both love and hate at the same time.I can't deny that I don't love it more though. Back in the past when I was still desperate to find my mate, I had specifically told Selene that if she were to ever bless me with my mate, she shouldn't give me a liability.Babysitting a dumb Luna is much worse than fighting off a thousand mad rogues, and if I am to ever have my Luna, she must be willing to stand by my side and be fearless to point out my faults if any.I need a strong worthy Luna who won’t just cling to my every word and decisions like I am s
