The Rejected Omega's Redemption のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 371 - チャプター 380

At the far end of the hall, seated upon his stolen throne, was Desmond and he was furious. The sound of his voice rolled through the chamber like thunder.“FOOLS! INCOMPETENT DOGS!”The line of guards before him flinched as they knelt. Their faces were pale, their eyes fixed on the polished floor. None dared to meet his gaze.Desmond rose slowly, the heavy cloak of black fur sliding off his shoulders. His eyes glowed, filled with barely contained rage. “You mean to tell me,” he said in a low growl, “that Becca, Mira, Max and Eugene escaped my mansion easily?”One of the guards swallowed hard. “My Lord, they… they overpowered us. They had help from inside—”“HELP?” Desmond’s roar cut him off. He went down the steps of the throne, each step echoing. “You were supposed to guard the cells! You were supposed to make sure no one escaped! And yet four fugitives walk free into my lands while I sit here surrounded by cowards!”The guard trembled. “Please, my Alpha, forgive us—”From the si

Becca stirred the pot of soup from where she sat on a small stool beside the bed where Eugene lay. Across the room, Mira was crouched near the cold hearth, trying to light a small fire with trembling hands. Her long hair fell over her face, and the tip of her tongue poked out slightly between her lips like she always did when she was focused. After a few frustrated sparks, a tiny flame came on and Mira exhaled in triumph. “Finally,” she muttered. “If this stupid fire refused one more time, I was going to throw the whole thing out the window.” Becca turned her head slightly, a small laugh escaping her lips despite her exhaustion. “And risk burning down the only safe house we’ve found in miles?” Mira grinned faintly over her shoulder. “Wouldn’t that be fitting? Desmond chasing us through flames. At least it would be dramatic.” The two shared a small smile, but their eyes betrayed the heaviness neither could shake. Mira finally got the fire burning strong enough to warm the

Eugene sat at the edge of the old wooden table, his forearms resting on the surface, the scent of freshly cooked food in the air. Mira and Becca moved around the room with smiles, preparing breakfast as though the world wasn’t hunting them. “Careful with that,” Becca said, hitting Mira’s hand away from the pan with a teasing smirk. “You’ll burn the eggs again.” Mira rolled her eyes and scooped up the cooked greens into a wooden bowl. “That was one time, Becca, and they were only slightly crisp.” “Crisp?” Becca laughed softly, her voice light but tired. “They could have cracked teeth.” Eugene chuckled. The meal came together simply with vegetables, and Becca added herbs she had found the previous evening to strengthen their immune system. Becca glanced across the table at Eugene. “You’re eating like you’ve been starved for days.” He swallowed a mouthful and gave her a half-smile. “Feels like I have.” “You both needed it,” Mira said softly, her eyes flicking

Becca adjusted her cloak, pulling the hood lower over her face as she and Mira stepped onto the worn path leading toward the pack’s town. It had been days since either of them ventured out of the safety of the cabin, and even though they were determined, the idea of returning to town made their stomachs tighten. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” Mira’s voice was quiet, muffled by the cloak over her face. “We don’t have a choice,” Becca replied, clutching the small woven basket in her hand. “We’re out of food and if we don’t get supplies today, Eugene and Max will be eating air for breakfast tomorrow.” Mira sighed. “I just… I wish Alpha Eugene didn’t make everything sound like a death sentence. The way he looked at us when we said we were going out, it was like he would rather lock us up in that cabin than let us breathe.” Becca smiled faintly, remembering Eugene’s face that morning. “He’s always been protective. You know that.” “Protective, yes,” Mira muttered, kicking a p

Becca sat in the corner beside Mira, both of them bound once again. Their cloaks were damp, their skin cold, but neither of them spoke. The silence between them was taut, full of words they couldn’t afford to say.Becca’s eyes drifted to the boy sleeping across the room. He was better, breathing evenly, his face no longer pale. Her treatment had worked. That small victory might have comforted her, if not for the fact that the man whose child she saved planned to deliver her to death at dawn. She clenched her fist despite the ropes that bound her tightly. This was the last time she would let herself fall into something such as this.Mira broke the silence first. “You should’ve let me handle him. I could’ve found a way out before he tied us again.”Becca shook her head. “No, you couldn’t have, not without risking the boy’s life, and we both know you wouldn’t do that.”Mira groaned in frustration. “You’re too kind, Becca, that’s your biggest flaw. You keep saving people who will jus
