บททั้งหมดของ The Omega Who Walked Away: บทที่ 111 - บทที่ 120

Around ten minutes later, when Ash starts yawning again, Ivy tells me it's time to go and let him sleep. I nod and force myself to get out of bed, but this time when I lean closer to kiss Ash's forehead and scent him, he doesn't look as freaked out as the last time I did that. He's getting used to me, I think. That's feels really good. "I'll come see you soon," I promise him before leaving the bedroom. Ivy follows right after me and closes the door. Now she smells like warmth and love instead of guilt, so I choose to let go of the curiosity. If she flirted all night with that bearded man, I decide not to ask questions and let it go. It's better not to know anyway, it's not like I can do anything to stop it. "You should leave now," Ivy says, putting a hand on my arm and pushing me to the door. Hard, "We're safe and sound now, thank you for helping me out earlier. And yes, you are welcome to come and hang out with Ash as much as you want. Just don't take him to the pack

The first person who notices me as I approach the camp only twenty minutes later is an omega who's grabbing water from a jug. She drops the plastic cup in her hands and takes a deep panicked breath to yell, but I lift a hand to stop her. I think she recognizes me from the other day, because she stops all by herself and turns her head to the side in curiosity. "I'm the Fire Omega’s mate," I remind her, "I'm here to see her. Completely in peace." That's a lie. I'm not here in peace, my hands are still shaking, my mind is still replaying a sensual reminiscence of River and Ivy’s kiss and my shirt is partly charred on the back, but she doesn't have to know that. "Oh, okay," she murmurs and grabs the plastic cup she dropped as I continue to approach, "Uhm, I think she's in the back with River and some other guys." "Great," I growl, going sour the second I hear that name. That's exactly the rogue I'm looking for, though, "Thanks, I'll go there." I walk pass the Frankenstein table, t

Remington gives me the most bewildered look I’ve ever seen in him before, like he truly does not have a single clue about what’s going on. “I think you infected me,” he starts. Blaming me, as usual. I start growling from my chest, “I’m just kidding, Ives. I honestly don’t fucking know what happened to me out there. I've been feeling the burning thing ever since you left me. All day, every day. I don't know what's causing it, but I don't think it's me. My wolf doesn’t know where is it coming from either, he's just as confused as me. I guess... I guess I was just very angry, so it poured out of me." "Oh, no. According to your own logic, that immediately means you're an unreliable, unsafe and dangerous person," I say with a fake gasp, "I must call the Northern Alliance right now and tell them there's a new threat around!” "Shh. Stop it," he growls, very visibly stressed, "Don't even joke about it, they can't know I fucking did that. They would definitely turn on me." I roll my ey

{ Remington } Ivy leaves my side to go running after Felicia—who’s making kissy sounds at us. So she leaves me with the omega who's looking at me with a knowing look. She doesn't turn her eyes away at all. "You could... leave," I offer, but she stays right there. I can hear a female shriek and I know it's because Ivy caught Felicia and now is doing god knows what to her, "Go help your friend." "If you love Ivy, you should help us," she says, her eyes are insanely intense, "We'd win a lot faster." "Mhm. I'll think about it," I murmur, just to get her to leave, but she stays right there. I have to take a step back, then another and another until I'm luckily free of her. Ivy is now wrestling with Felicia on the floor, but the twin sister is laughing, so I don't think it's a big deal. I just cross my arms and look around. I thought I'd feel the urgent need to take Ivy home—or anywhere, away from here. I thought I would need to 'save' her from this place, but I really do

"Ives," I murmur with my voice like sandpaper, finding her eyes again, "If you were in my place... would you choose yourself? Be honest.” "What do you mean? Sexually? Yeah,” she easily responds to the wrong question, making me roll my eyes. This might be the one time I'm not actually thinking with my dick, but she's still thinking with her clit. "No, dude," I laugh in disbelief, "If the roles were reversed. If you were me. You have immense responsibilities on your shoulders, people’s expectations weighing on you every day, a huge sense of duty, not to mention you basically have it all right now. And you have a guy like you as your fated mate. You absolutely love him, but he’s like… a demon. The guy is destined to destroy everything you hold dear. The guy can’t go out in public without creating mayhem, just by existing. The guy sets your mother on fire, tells your dad to go suck a dick... would you choose him? Seriously, put yourself in my shoes for a second.” She gives me an un
