บททั้งหมดของ The Omega Who Walked Away: บทที่ 121 - บทที่ 130

{ Remington } After the most precarious 'bath' I've ever had and the best fuck of my life, I return to the camp completely naked and satisfied, but on my own because I refused to let Ivy come back naked. I do not know if she's been shifting around these guys and letting them see her body, but I don't care. It's not the same to catch a glimpse of someone during shifts than to just see her hot, freshly fucked, wet body. No fucking way, I'm not letting anyone witness that. The sight belongs to me. So, I walk to her tent and get some clothes for her, ignoring everyone's eyes on me. And on my white, bare ass. I can see by the way they're all openly looking at me and how there's whispers and giggles, that everyone knows for sure we fucked. Of course the omegas went running to let everyone know. But I don't really mind if they know, especially while my wolf is so active inside of me. I'm completely fine with my pack knowing I fucked and marked my mate. Except they're not my pack, so

I failed my first ever promise to my brother. But to be fair, it was because Rem refused to leave. I tried and tried, but he stood his ground and then convinced my wolf with his. That’s when it became impossible to continue telling him to get the fuck out of my pack, because when our wolves are involved… it’s our pack, not just mine. And they’re recently re-bonded, so they’re in blind bliss right now. I decide not to ruin that for them. We spend most of the day in the woods, just us, away from most people and talking to Ash on his brand new phone/tablet. He told me all about Remington almost setting Cassie's table on fire and scaring my poor friend this morning. At night, in my tent, I lay on top of Remington's chest because it's the only way we can share my sleeping bag. Him on top of the closed bag and me on top of him, but it feels cosy. "Okay, so... before you arrived and messed everything up, I was training my fire with River. And there's something new I learned about

Once I return to the packhouse, I park in the garage but stay inside the car for a while because my body refuses to go back to that house. I don't want my mother's nagging to continue and I don't want to go to that council meeting they want. I'm sick of them and now I'm not even willing to fake it. I'm done with them. All I want is to go drive back to the camp just so I can continue spending time with Ivy, but I know for sure she'll just tell me to turn back around and leave. So, instead, I call her to tell her about the meeting and how well it went. "Okay... so, now what?" she asks, "What's the next move, Alpha? When do I get to fight people?” "Hopefully never, if I do things right. They agreed to have you come to an Alpha Meeting and have a vote to decide whether you’ll be a fit member or not. It’ll be here in my pack, so you have to come back next week," I let her know. She makes an uncertain noise from her throat, "What?" "I don't want to go back there," she murmurs, he

"The council has forced me to try and pull Ivy into the Alliance," I blurt out as soon as I sit my ass down, then just prop my elbows on the table and lean there as the Council freaks out. All I can think about is how much I want to leave. "What?! Why on earth?" My father growls, hitting the table. Very little unsettles him as much as hearing about my mate. "They want to use her," I continue, "They want me to manipulate her and force her to join us. That way, the Alliance can make sure she’ll stay under control. Under vigilance.” "Do you think you can convince her?" My father asks, but his shoulders are relaxing a little. He’s buying it. "Why does it have to be YOU?” Grandmother asks, her eyes narrowing, “They must know they can’t trust you when it comes to that woman. I know I wouldn’t.” "I feel like this is a test, they’re trying to test me after everything and make sure I’m still as loyal to the Alliance as I was before Ivy showed up again. Alpha Ryan put me aside," I look

"You're welcome to do your thing," Ivy says, relaxing on her sleeping mat—if that's even possible, "I trust you with Ash." "Wh—You do?" I ask in surprise, my chest puffing up. I know that's the biggest compliment, coming from her. "Of course, Rem. You're the most responsible person I know. I always thought you'd be way better at parenting than me, at least when it came to the boring stuff like discipline and school shit," she continues with a snort, "And I always knew that the second you found out about Ash, you'd jump in with both feet and try to take complete control of all of the stuff I was struggling with... which was everything at some point. So, I’m not surprised you want to give it your all, I’ve been ready for it. For a while, I saw it as a terrible thing, you wanting to take over me, but now… well, with everything I’m currently going through, I’m kinda glad you’re there, ready to take charge.” "Yeah. I'd love to just take everything out of your hands and fix it. Not to
