I resumed on set the next day, dressed up in an all black outfit and a black cap. Bennett trailed beside me, reading my itinerary for the day out loud. I walked into my designated closet, picking out the costume for the day. "And that is all that's left." - Bennett dropped the tablet on the desk gently, her hands which had been flying over the screen, settling down by her side. " Hmm- I understand. Thanks."" Ma'am - about the dress, yesterday.......? "- She fiddled with her fingers, her eyes looked extremely nervous as she tried balancing the huge frame of her glasses. " Ah~. The director hasn't said anything as of late, probably I'll ask him when i see him."- I excused myself as i walked out of the locker room, leaving Bennett behind. The set was busy - with crew members running around with props and stunt doubles practicing their moves. Other cast actors paced around, reciting their lines out loud - it was very chaotic. " Selene!!" - I glanced over my shoulders, the director'

I placed my hands on his cold body, feeling bewildered at the sudden turn of events - Although it was anticipated. A dark figure moved and I caught on to this unfamiliar person's shadow. "Wait!!" - I called out. Torn between chasing the murderer or staying with the already dead victim. I analysed the situation - even if i chased after that figure, it wasn't entirely guaranteed that I'll be able to catch up to the person. Seeing that whosoever that was already had a five minute advantage and had already covered a large distance during that time frame.I exhaled, calming my tensed muscles while I tried figuring out my next course of action. I moved my hands around the deceased body, searching for his phone so that i could be able to alert the police. Cold sweat poured down from my skin, blurring my vision as my hands trembled with the blood stained phone. I wiped his fingers with the hem of my coat and then used his fingerprints to unlock the smart mobile. .........................

"Sure thing - so we just have to wait for the issue to resolve itself." "Yes, we wait. Besides, this is an involuntarily promotion. So it works in our favor." - I ended the call after a few minutes of briefing Bennett on what to do." Thanks!!" - I returned Richard's phone, expressing my gratitude politely."You're welcome!!" - He flashed a bright smile, his eyes squinting as his dimples deepened. "So where are you going to stay for the night. It doesn't look like those guys are about to leave anytime soon." He drew my attention back to current homeless situation, i stared outside - it was dark outside, with the absence of the moon and stars. Like the entire world was just an orb hidden under a large dark cloak with the street lamps being the only source of light."Guess i haven't figured that out yet." - I sighed briefly, as i tugged at my blood stained coat. Not until now had i realized how actually comfortable it was to have a home to return to - although it wasn't tastefully fu

He let out a deep throaty laugh, walking into the laundry room before dumping my clothes into the laundry machine as i watched it spin around in circles. "Now why would i do that?" - he asked, bending his shoulders down - such that our eyes were on the same level. "You're helping an absolute stranger with no apparent reason. Isn't that the height of being dumb?" - I retorted, my pale face reflecting in his eyes. He lowered his gaze to the floor with a sigh before standing erect, adjusting his posture. "I've already told you - I've been trailing you for two years, so I know quite a thing or two about you. I'm not obligated to ask you questions.......... neither are you obligated to answer mine." He led me out to the balcony, staring at the starless night. "Unless it's of your own free will to tell me,i wouldn't force you to tell. And no matter the decision you make - I'll always be right behind you. That's why i asked that you use me as a last resort." His hands fumbled in his p

I blinked, crossing my legs - one over the other. Acting as though i was clueless. "So you really aren't going to spill it?" I shook my head resolutely. She sighed, giving me the ' I'm totally disappointed in you' look. "Anyways, I'm glad that you're back." - She shrugged, casually dismissing her earlier curiosity and probity. "Not for long!. I'll be leaving -". I paused, glancing at the electronic clock on my desk. "In the next four hours." "For reals, Selene?!. You've got to be kidding me." Rachel expressed her dissatisfaction, collapsing in her seat ; possibly exasperated. I shrugged my shoulders care freely, not perturbed. "Then why did you come back if it wasn't because of the project?. Or was it because you missed me?" - She teased with a playful smirk. " Because........ I have something important to discuss with Bennett." - I spoke in a flat tone. Rachel gasped, her lips forming a slight 'O' shape. " I'll have someone send her over." - She pouted her lips,
