CHAPTER 14.CHRISTAIN:“Matteo, I need you to do something for me.” I stated as I stepped out of the car. He shut the door behind me and took off my coat.“What is it?” He questioned.“Keep an eye on Celeste—and Sister Theresa. I think she might be mistreated by her. I have noticed the fear in her eyes whenever she sees her. The kids too—““Theresa? She is a disciplinarian. It’s nothing. CHAPTER 16. Celeste’s: It’s been four whole days since my ordeal. Everyone seemed to have softened up towards me, and I actually loved it. I had never fallen that sick before so it probably came as a shock to everyone, including myself. Mother Lucia had specifically instructed that no tasks be assigned to me for two weeks until I am completely recovered. How wonderful. Some of the other postulants were not comfortable with the arrangements but they just couldn’t question her authority. Two whole weeks of doing nothing? Count me in. I spent all my time at the orphanage, teaching the little ones how to do some easy scribbling tasks and the older ones how to identify colors. Sister Theresa on the other hand, completely ignored me. Chapter 18.CELESTE:“Celeste! Celeste, you won’t believe it! Help me open the door please.” Esme’s voice called from behind the door. She sounded excited.“At least you didn’t frighten me today. CHAPTER 20.Christian’s POV.I arrived home to meet Matteo waiting for me.“You took longer than I expected.” He stated.“Yeah, I did.” I replied, handing my briefcase to the butler. “I just had to take care of something briefly. A minor disturbance.” I added. Matteo raised a brow at me, knowing exactly what it meant.“Who was it?” He questioned.“One of Vito's men. I didn’t kill him, though; the bomb did.” I said, and he let out an amused chuckle.Just then, the door opened and Astrid rushed in.“Hey, baby, I missed you.” She greeted me as she flung herself at me. I was confused for a split second. I turned to the butler who stood akimbo.“I apologise, sir. I’ll talk to the security.” He bowed.“Never mind.” I replied, waving him off.
