A knock fell on my office door. “Come in.” Adelie opened the door and closed it behind her.“Can I talk to you?” she asked me, and I looked up at her. I spent the rest of the weekend alone at home, not really sure what to do about Adelie. I didn’t know if she wanted me to call her, or if I should just show up at the house. I could do that without her knowing that it was her I wanted to see, but I felt that something was off, something she had wanted to tell me.I didn’t want to fight the bond anymore.
