Mina's POV I walked into the house, my hands shaking. My chest was tight. I felt sick, scared, and full of regret. I knew what I had done. I knew how serious it was. I also knew that if God didn’t intervene, my father would kill me, and even if he did intervene. I doubt Dad would listen to anything I had to say. “Growing quite a nerve, I see. Now you've got the guts to sleep outside,” my dad’s cold, sharp voice echoed from the living room. I looked up and saw him coming down the stairs. “Good morning, Dad,” I mumbled, eyes glued to the floor. He stopped right in front of me. The silence between us was thick, dangerous.
