Lyra's POV. The war was finally over but I was still thinking about how long and hard this was going to begin and where else we needed to go to be able to get everything done. Kael's POV.Selene didn't strike me as somebody who didn't take no for an answer but at this point I no longer knew what to think. It was almost like she had forgotten everything that she stood for and only wanted to be my bride at all costs. My hands were weeping by the time she was done with me and I could see her smiling at the corner of her lips making me realize that she was even more dangerous than any enemy I could have ever imagined that I would have. Lyra's POV.Performance because I just wanted to be on people's good site because not something that I was really good at but at this point there was nothing I could do besides just keep moving on and pretending like everything was going the right way so that I could erase myself out of this depth of the pains that I have been feeling. Rejection was never good on anybody and no matter how they wanted to prove to themselves that they did not mind I could always see through them and realize that there was a whole lot more to the story than they were willing to tell. It was as simple as that no matter how anybody wanted to push for nonchalance I could see that it was not an easy thing for them to get over with and I tried to sympathize with them as much as I could. In this case it was almost like I was pushing myself for more disaster and I didn't understand why this was coming up at this point in time because we could have handled it even better than I was going to be experiencing.
