Eli’s POV “We’re here, sir.” The driver’s voice pulled me out of a light, restless sleep. I blinked slowly, my vision adjusting as I looked out through the tinted window. The mansion stood tall and silent in front of us, just as imposing as I remembered. I gave a small nod, more to myself than to the driver. He got out, walked around the van, and opened the door for me. Cool air rushed in, brushing against my face. I shifted forward, about to step out, when Desmond’s firm hand grabbed my wrist.
