Bound To The Immortal Beast のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 1 - チャプター 10

The space suddenly feels too small as I stare at Nathan, wondering if he is the same male who held me close on many nights, whispering promises into my ears. “Nathan, it’s me. Isolde, your—” “What is the commotion, darling?” a feminine voice cuts me off. A tall, elegant woman appears behind Nathan, slipping a hand into his. Clad in a fine wedding dress, she smiles at me. Beth? My half-sister? Beth throws a disgusted look at me. “Why are you here? My mother made sure you never heard of my wedding to Nathan.” “You’re getting married to her?” I ask, pain and betrayal filling my voice. I look at Nathan. His eyes are full of love as he looks at Beth. “Yes,” Nathan replies, his voice flat. “The wedding between Beth and me was planned a while ago. I’m getting married, and the last time I checked, I didn’t invite a mad person.” The pang in my heart hurts more than the wounds and scratches on my body. Nathan is denying me, and I am standing here like a lost pup, watching him talk about

My heartbeat thuds twice as fast. I’m afraid it will burst, and I will die on the spot. But it doesn’t matter, as a torturous death is about to be my fate. I had run into the devil’s arm, begging him to help me escape the fate of becoming HIS bride. I had held his clothing with my filthy hands, and now my doom is a step away. The world seems to stop. Seconds tick by, slow and heavy. The more he stares, the more realization hits me. The male rumored to have a beastly look, said to have ended more lives than the number of breaths I had in my lifetime, is standing before me. Shoulders tensed, confusion flashing in those green eyes as they rake over me. “How is this possible?” He mumbles under his breath, chest heaving as if trying to contain a storm of emotion in his chest. Then comes the look I fear the most. Hatred, deeper than any I've ever known. Not the kind my father, Miranda, my half-sister, or any member of the pack had cast my way. This is pure rage, etched into every

The car is silent, save for the hum of the car engine as it drives down the pebbled path. I'm sweating despite the air conditioner being on.I try not to think of the pistol, try not to think of the way Drogo's eyes burn when they land on the whip mark, and also try not to admit I feel a pang of satisfaction seeing my father in pain for the first time.I know, I know. I should be scared. Terrified even. This man... I mean, my husband shot someone at his own wedding. His father-in-law. Out of the blue. It's a clear sign all the devious things they said about him were true. He can’t possibly have almost killed me last night and miraculously shoot my father because of the whipping I thought he had ordered. That is absurd.I try to focus on my twisted hands on my lap, knuckles white from the force I apply. Drogo is sitting beside me. His presence engulfs the car space like smoke. Finally, I risk looking at him. He is staring out of the window, one hand resting against his lap while h

"Did he do this?" Riana asks, and though I'm not looking at her, I can feel her tense. Her voice drops quieter. "Oh my God, did I just insult the Alpha?"I quickly shake my head, voice small. "It's not the Alpha."She exhales, her breath brushing my back.“So... how did you end up here?” Riana asks curiously as she begins to treat my wounds."Sold," I murmur. "By my father."I don't mention the marriage."Figured," she mutters. "Men around here treat people like coins and property. Don't wolves have the ability to heal? Are you human like me?""I don't have a wolf.""Huh? Why?""Long story"This is my first time seeing a human either. No wonder her energy is weak. How did she even get here?I count in my head, enduring the stings as she works. She presses a particular cut drawing a hiss between my teeth. “This will need stitches.”I swallow. That particular part hurts the most. I still remember how the sharp edge of the whip got stuck into my flesh, only for the brutal guard to yank

ISOLDE ‘You must always remember your place, Isolde. Drogo is the most dangerous man in every territory that exists. He feeds on fear and destroys people how he likes. Your marriage with him isn't just to form an alliance but to trap him. Lure him. Please him if you must. Be his whore and let him trust you. And while he is vulnerable at your mercy, you'll find his weakness and give them to me. Remember. Your mother’s life is on the line, and you have three months. Prove your worth and you will have the freedom you've ever wanted. This male is a dangerous male.’ Father's words sound like a dread bell shaking my nerves. I've almost forgotten the reason I am here. Almost let the soft treatment slip my resolution away. I'm nothing to Drogo, and he admitted it himself. His hate runs deeper than how he imagines. It must be because I was born under the red moon, and seeing a cursed one like me sparks dreadful memories that cause his loathing. That was why he attacked me that ni
