I closed my eyes and tried to breathe. I was okay. It was just a noise. I wasn’t in danger. I was just in the kitchen.I looked down to see the blood now coating my hand. Kinsley marched over to where I was at the sink, causing everyone to look at her but me. I didn’t move. I couldn’t move. I forced my body not to show her that I was scared.
