Lahat ng Kabanata ng Roommates with a Curfew: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

INTRODUCTIONS ARE MADE ~~XAVIER~~ Leaving the Dean’s office, I walked to the gate and hopped on my motorcycle while calling my mum. She picked on the first ring “Hi sweetie”, she said, putting a smile on my face for the first time today. “Hey ma, I have gotten my housing settled, I’m headed back to work, I’ll call you later alright?”. I cut the call when I heard her say alright. I went back to work under 20 minutes. I’m so glad that I was able to get a job here without stress because God knows we need the extra money. I walked straight to the back of the office, put on my tag and went to tell my boss I was back. ‘Welcome back, Xavier, how come you were so quick? were you able to finish what you wanted to do?’. I told her how everything went and she just laughed and said God is in control. I let her know that I would be going to her house in the evening to collect my things and move into the house on campus. When I saw my acceptance letter into this university, I kept asking myself w

FREE DAY~~XAVIER~~I went to the Dean’s office yesterday after I closed from work to take my class schedule, the secretary offered me the school map but I declined with a shake of my head. I was going to figure out the in’s and out’s of this school once I find the time, eventually. Wednesday’s are no class days for me, so I immediately call Mum to let her know. “Hi big bro, mama, Xav wants to speak with you !!!”, I heard my baby brother, Liam, loud voice, then I heard the pattering of his little feet on the ground as I’m guessing he was running to give my mum the phone. “Hi Xavi”, I heard the voice of my baby sister, Laura, calling my name in the background which put a huge smile on my face. The sound of shuffling welcomed me until I heard the sweet sound of my mother’s voice. “Hello baby, how are you doing, you didn’t send the video of your room like I asked you to, how is work? I hope you are doing okay”. I told her how things have been going for the past three days and about my ti

WORK ~~ALICIA~~ Well, this class was a complete waste of time, because tell me why the lecturer kept reading a textbook for us, a textbook that we have to buy to pass the course. I guess I’m never attending this class again then, I stepped out of the class and headed straight to work at the library. I greeted Mrs Pat [she insisted I call her that], headed to the back office, dropped my bag on the shelf and pinned my tag on my shirt. Heading to the new books that arrived today, I went to sack them in their respective shelves, ranging from horror to education, to all sorts of topics. When I was done I went behind the counter to input the books into the system, by the time I was done inputting over two-hundred books, I noticed it was already getting dark, I closed up the account for today, which was very easy after Mrs Pat’s surprisingly great teachings. I was about to log out of the system and switch it off when a boy barged in through the doors letting in a gust of wind, “Hi, I am s

~~DARKNESS~~ ALICIA It has been about two weeks since Xavier and I spoke, the only thing that happens in this room is just us brushing past each other when we find either of us are in the room. I don’t know where he has been sleeping for the past how many days; all I know is he always comes back looking stressed. Sometimes I even feel a little pity for him until I relay the events surrounding my mug and I feel my spirit flare up all over again like the event just happened. Stepping into the house and meeting it empty doesn’t surprise me because that’s how I have been entering the house for the past two weeks. It’s Wednesday, my off day, I have been outside enjoying the school’s peaceful scenery, taking some pictures, and doing some videos to send to my mum later. I just want to take my bath and sleep; I stopped to get some food when I was on my way back from school. I take off my clothes and step into the bathroom, I’m

~~THIRD PARTY~~~~ALICIA~~Since the blackout, the past few days have been pretty chill, just small talks between me and Xavier, little passing comments that sometimes makes me laugh or just smile. The room has been a comfort zone for me for a while now, which is a lot compared to how things were at the beginning. I get up from my bed, pick up my bag and do one last take round the house to make sure that everything is in order, after feeling satisfied with what I was seeing, I headed out to the library. I greeted the security men at the school gate with a smile on my face and continued walking to the library. I am quickly welcomed by the smell of books and wood as I head to the staff room behind the counter to drop my belongings. I greet Mrs. Pat and began organizing everything that wasn’t in order, I clean the shelves, put the new books that just arrived on the shelf all the while listening to songs on my headphones. When I was done with everything, I went around the l
