Betrothed to the Mafia Heir のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

The atmosphere turned into something I couldn't explain. First of all, I was almost abducted by these grey headed men who still had strength to engage in mafia activities. I was so scared that I didn't realize I was firmly holding Ray's hand. He turned, looked down at my hands entwined with his, and then looked up at me. I immediately pulled out my hand. Surprisingly, he took them back and nodded at me assuringly. Perhaps, he must have seen the volume of fear in my eyes...i was literally shaking! Everything immediately ended and Draco ordered everyone to leave the court, except his Mafia members. Alex took me and Draco back home, with tight security . Somehow, I was glad that we didn't exchange rings and vows. Albeit, I didn't know the most vital part of this whole marriage thing had been taken care of. ****** "Juan, is my daughter fine? Why didn't you at least get her out of the court before the whole attack? This wasn't the plan, Juan ! With the way bullets were

Draco reopened the hotel, Ray's hotel, which was temporarily closed down until he married Lorna. "This is your only property that you can effectively use for now. The art company and the National garage under your name will remain on hold for now " Draco blatantly stated, handing over the release papers from the government to Ray. Ray fumed at the last statement of his father, while collecting the papers. "You can now ask every staff member in the hotel to resume today or tomorrow ". Draco's eyes remained fixed on his phone. He had another scheduled meeting with Mr Diego and their deal would be sealed in five days. "Are you aware that you're indirectly failing my businesses and thereby incurring losses for me? This hotel is the most expensive and lodged hotel in this country . Within four days of its closure, I'm sure that I've lost millions of dollars. All these silly tantrums because of that girl?" Ray wasn't having it anymore. If there was any of his ow

Don Juan discussed the suggestion Killian had given him to Vivienne. It was a nice idea though, but knowing her daughter, Vivienne was sure Lorna wouldn't be able to hurt anyone no matter what. She had such a soft heart just like her late father, who kept dining with Draco even when the signs were glaring that he needed to avoid this man. Lorna wasn't also a perfect planner, the probability of her going by the plan so well and destroying Ray, was very slim. Vivienne thought about the implications if Lorna doesn't carry out the schemes and strategies, Draco would surely have her head . "Listen Viv, it doesn't matter if she has a soft heart or if she's too naive and probably won't follow the plan according to what you think. This is the best decision here. We would talk to her through your own phone, you're gonna give her reasons to do this and trust me, it's gonna harden her heart. Possibly, we might even meet up" Juan detailed, and of course Vivienne had no other choice. She

Ava sat on her desk, keeping an empty seat beside her for her friend. It was still a surprise to her, even after Lorna explained everything. For all she knew, Lorna wasn't happy there, including her mom. If Lorna was even supposed to be with any guy, it should be someone like Dave who'd been showing her signs of his feelings for the longest time. Why a mafia? Who even still does betrothal stuff at this age? She sighed. Just then, one of the guys in class named Owen approached her. Owen was one of the guys who secretly admired Lorna. It wasn't so obvious, but Ava could see it through the way he stared at her sometimes, and the way he always wanted to be around her. The difference between him and Dave was that Dave was quite open with Lorna's mum . His feelings were obvious to Ava as well . "Hi, Ava. Good morning " he greeted, facing her. "Hi Owen, good morning to you too" she responded, her face blank and straight. "Why's your face so blank? Your countenance i

Since the class had unexpectedly ended, I still had up to forty-five minutes to spare in school. So I decided to tell Ava everything. "Ava, something happened two days ago and I wanna tell you about it " I started. "Aiit best, shoot. I'm listening " she turned towards me. We were sitting at the back of the class and most of our course mates had started leaving since there was nothing more left to do in class. I kept calm for some seconds, really trying to process how I was gonna put my words. "My mom called, " I dropped, nervousness in my voice a bit. "That's wonderful, I mean, you guys hadn't spoken to each other since you got to that Mafia villa, even up till you got married without her presence. I'm sure she missed you so much and decided to take the risk, you know you barely take calls in that prison ... .ugh!" She grunted at the end of her statements. But, she hadn't yet gotten the glimpse of what I was trying to put out. "That's not it, Ava. She misse
