The Alpha’s Mysterious Luna のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 211 - チャプター 220

~Lindsey~Seeing Logan in good spirits made today feel a little less insane. I guess I had gotten in the habit of having him around all the time and forgotten how lonely it can feel when he’s not around. We step out of his room while the nurse examines him. I hear Brady exhale sharply. “I guess you want to go check on Jagger.” He looks annoyed with the thought. I shrug my shoulders. “You know I can go alone if it’s not something you want to do. After all-““No!” He raises his voice, his eyes swirling blue for a moment. He clears his throat. “No, I’ll go with you.” I smile teasingly as I see the deep blue of his eyes fade away. “If that’s what you want.”He mutters something under his breath that I can quite make out. I knock on Jagger’s door. “Jagger? It’s Brady and Lindsey. Can we come in?” “Yes,” he calls weakly from the other side of the door. I open it slowly, noticing the plethora of gifts amidst the dim light. “It’s dark. Do you want me to turn on the lights?” I offer. H

~Lindsey~ The next few days fly by. Thanks to his alpha blood and lots of intensive therapy, Logan is ready to come home by Wednesday. Luna Maci and I decided to put together a private welcome home party for him with only his family and closest friends. Dad even let me leave school early to help out. I’m hanging a banner with Gina when Luna Maci gets a phone call. “Hey! I’ve been waiting on you to-“ she stops mid sentence, and I can hear a male voice on the other end. “What the hell do you mean? You’re not the host of this party. You don’t get to dictate who can and cannot come.” Her tone turns ice cold, a stark difference to the chipper tone she’s had since she and Aunt Cammie came to get me today. I swallow, worried about what could have upset her so. “I could not care less. If you show up with that skank whore on your arm, I’ll have you escorted off the premises, rank be damned.” Her eyes widen, and her face turns tomato red as the other voice gets louder as well. “You really

~Lindsey~ The next two days go by in a haze. Everyone seems to be in their own little world. Callie and Trey have decided to have their mating ceremony the week after our finals. Deanna and I both told her that it might be too much, but she insists that she’s fine. Thankfully, we’ve helped plan out every detail; all that’s left is to put it all together. Deanna and Grant have been by my side constantly. Grant has taken over after school “little luna” duty until Logan is all clear. It feels like the bond between us grows stronger every passing day; he can basically read my mind at this point. It’s honestly a relief knowing that, unless things change, Deanna will be around to help me with all the planning like Aunt Cammie helps Luna Maci. I just wish Colton could a mate, chosen or fated. Logan is furious, but my dad refuses to give him a full medical release. He still walks me to every class at school and hangs around the packhouse because “home is less fun”, according to him.

~Lindsey~ I recognize the girl who exits the van immediately. I remember when she visited White Fang when I was still a pup. Her eyes, warm and dark, showed kindness even then. I envied her, as she had stolen the attention everywhere she went, though she never desired it. Her name rings through my memory. Johanna Martinez, daughter of the Dark Paw alpha. Her younger brother was set to inherit the pack due to male heirs being favored over female, but she was hailed as a princess. She actually was known as Princess Lucy’s closest friend. Her words echo through my mind as I recall seeing her file in the stack that I recommended to Jagger. Could she be here to meet him?“I certainly hope you mean our visiting alpha.” Brady smiles as he wraps an arm around me. He probably thought I felt threatened. “Oh my goodness, yes. I completely forgot you haven’t had your mating ceremony yet.” She palms her forehead. “Forgive me, you’re Lindsey, correct? You look so familiar.” She eyes me inten

~Lindsey~Once we’re safe inside of my office, I sigh. So much to discuss, so little time. “Ok we’ve got to talk quickly or your mom will notice we’re gone and I’ll get the chewing out of a lifetime.” I take a deep breath and continue. “First, you go. Why did Logan seem so shocked?”Brady sighs, and I assume the worst: she’s Logan’s second chance mate. “He’s attracted to her which is insane. They’ve always hated each other. But he says it’s not the mate bond. It’s weaker, but something is drawing him to her.” I take a deep breath in. “Well it could be worse. Not to say they won’t get together. But I have some news.” I prepare myself to drop a bombshell. “Joie wasn’t approved by her father to leave Dark Paw. The warriors that are with her are her closest friends. They aided in her escape.” Brady’s eyes widen. “What? We’re harboring a fugitive?” I roll my eyes. “Don’t be dramatic. It’s probably nothing. She might have just wanted to come see your mom like she said.” I shrug. “Or…”
