The Alpha’s Mysterious Luna のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 191 - チャプター 200

~Brady~I smell him, that sly son of a bitch. “Brady? What’s wrong?” John asked me to take Lindsey home. He was tired from work and wanted to head in early. I took it as an honor that he trusted me with his daughter out late. After all, he originally didn’t want her out with me on school nights. Now I can’t help but wonder if he sent his nephew to spy on us. “Nothing’s wrong. The big bad wolf just isn’t my biggest fan.” Hunter appears from the corner, propping up against a White Fang vehicle. I don’t even have the energy to argue with this idiot. I can tell he’s up to something, almost makes me want to check my brake lines before we get into the car. I remind myself that he wouldn’t want harm to come to Lindsey. “Who can blame him? You’ve been a jerk since you got here. Dad even said he was disappointed in you.” Lindsey spits out with a sprinkle of malice in her voice. I can tell Hunter is hurt by her words, but he recovers quickly. “My apologies if I’ve caused offense. I was ju

~Lindsey~I look at Logan, taken off guard by his statement. “If she didn’t send it, then who did?” I ask warily. The words have barely left my lips before the door is yanked shut behind us. I hear it lock on the other side. That’s when I realize I don’t have my key; it’s in my purse upstairs. I look at Logan, panicked. “Please tell me you can take him,” I barely make a sound, mostly mouthing the words. He looks at me uneasily. “This was a set up.” He’s staring Jagger down, and I turn around to see Jagger itching uncomfortably. “It’s so hot. Why is it so hot?” He starts unbuttoning his shirt, revealing his washboard abs. “How are you not hot?” He’s dragging his hands through his hair, his brow soaked in sweat. “Jagger? What’s wrong?” I take a step forward, but Logan quickly yanks me behind him. “Stay back, Lindsey. He’s dangerous.” I look between the two, extremely worried. About that time, my windows reveal Hunter, Brady, and Colton all beating trying to get in. They’re most

~Lindsey~ The ambulances shortly arrive, and we’re all whisked away to the hospital. I hand Aunt Cammie my phone, not wanting to deal with anyone right now. It’s been blowing up since we got into the ambulance. I saw how Logan was. His body almost limp, every touch searing with pain. I couldn’t even move him to see if his back was injured. I packed his wounds the best that I could, my training from Dad coming into play. I shake my head, trying to rid it of the many nights that I was his nurse. Warriors would come in after lashings, she wolves who had become pregnant but were forced to miscarry once Alpha Walt realized that the pup belonged to him, omegas who were accused of slander or prying into the alpha’s business. So much blood. So much pain. I’ll never forget the spring before I turned fifteen. One of my high school friends, a young girl who had just received her wolf, got pregnant. She was beautiful, the model type. Perfect body, gorgeous hair, sparkling blue eyes. Walt h

~Lindsey~I feel so foolish, but I can’t stop the tears. “I’m sorry, Brady. I was just so scared. For me, for Logan, for you. Jagger didn’t want to hurt anyone. He was fine, then he turned into some monster.” He rubs my back with one hand and holds my cheeks with the other. “You have nothing to be sorry for. You’ve had a shit day. I’m just glad you’re ok.”I pull back again even though his embrace is my sanctuary at the moment. “Brady, who could have done this?” He shrugs. “I have no clue. Someone who has connections in the packhouse that wants to hurt you, me, or Jagger. Though I doubt he was their target.” I nod. “It doesn’t make sense for him to be the target. I have a suspicion that my drink was probably tampered with, too. Why would they want us going feral on each other?” Brady looks deep in thought. “He was heavily attracted to you. Maybe it was some crazy aphrodisiac or something. Maybe even a medication that causes arousal.” “Maybe. He was just so… wild. It was terrifyi

~Lindsey~We leave Logan, heavily sedated and in high spirits. The ride back to the packhouse is quiet. Brady seems to be holding something back. We park in the garage, but I don’t move from my seat. “What’s wrong?” I ask, looking at him and grabbing his hand. “What do you mean?” I sigh dramatically. “What I mean is I feel like you’re not telling me something. What’s up?” I tilt my head, signaling that he’s been caught. He takes in a deep breath. “I don’t believe Aviana’s story. Why would she help you? She’s always wanted me. Ever since we became teenagers. She threatened you, harassed you, and now I’m just supposed to believe she’s coming to your aid?” I bite my lip. Part of me feels the same way, but I believe people can change. Aviana was a good person, but she let greed blind her. I decide to confess what little I know. “Deanna has rekindled her friendship with Aviana. She said she’s like how she used to be when you all were kids. You know as well as I do that Dee is not eas
