Why are you laughing??” my younger sister Rachel asked as she walked into the room.“Take a look at this.” I said as I showed her the text message I got from my boyfriend or ex boyfriend at the moment.“Again??” she asked with a worried look on her face.“You are sounding like this is bad.”“This is actually bad Eva…this one broke up with you through a text message!! Are you sure you aren’t doing something wrong in your relationships??”“What do you mean by that Rachel??? It’s not my fault that these bastards can’t see the amazing person they had as their girlfriends.” I said, rolling my eyes.“But this is

Don’t try me Eva.” “Mom just called and said there was an emergency at home and that I should come home now.”“Emergency?? What sort of Emergency??”“I really don’t know because she didn’t say.” I said.“Are you sure it’s really an emergency?? Your mom is very good at raising false alarms.”“I know right.” I said as we burst into laughter.“So what’s going to happen to the Pizza I ordered??” she asked with a pouty face.“Okay, I will stay until the pizza arrives and then take it home.”“Fair enough.” she said.“Anyway thank you so much.”“Why

CHAPTER FOUR

EVA'S POVIn my entire life, I have never seen my mom gone all out for anyone the way she was doing for Rachel. She hired some cleaners to clean the house, she changed a few things, bought drinks and food items in just one day.As soon as she asked Rachel to invite her fiance over, preparations started immediately for his arrival the next day and as usual, I wasn't exempted as my mom asked me to change the curtains in the living room.I didn't understand why she was going all out for just a casual visit and it wasn't even to start making preparations for the wedding.“Eva, make sure you fix that in the right way and don't get distracted.”my mother said as she walked away.I sighed deeply as I continued doing what I was doing.“Mom!!! He is going to be here as early as 9 tomorrow!!!” My sister yelled.“Oh shit!!! We haven't gotten everything done!!! CHAPTER FIVE

EVA'S POVNoo..no..no...I suddenly remembered I had a one night stand with someone I couldn't recognize but I only saw his tattoo and this person standing in front of me has the exact same one. After checking for the hundredth time, panic set in as I instantly became uneasy.I didn't know if he recognized me and I prayed and hoped he wouldn't because I was a mess at the bar.As I extended my hand to shake him, my hands shook in fear and sweats gathered on my forehead.I shook his hands and retracted it back so fast that one would assume I touched a boiling oil."Nice to meet you Eva." He said with a smile."Same." I replied. My Mother invited him in as I kept a reasonable distance away from him.As he sat down alongside Rachel, I kept on stealing glances at him to see if he recognized me but he didn't even spare me any glance or show that he had ever met someone like me.I was a little bit relieved about it because the last thing I wanted was to create a rift between my sister and her

CHAPTER SIX

EVA'S POV"What did you just say Eva??" my sister asked. My heart started pounding so fast that I felt it was going to jump out of my chest. I suddenly felt like there was no air in the room. I bit my lips so hard that I could taste my blood as I thought carefully of the next words that were going to come out of my mouth. "W....what...I...I...d...did... didn't s...say... anything." I said stuttering."I am not going to ask you again Eva...what did you just say??"I didn't even realize that I was still on the phone with Christie until she came on asking if I was still on the line. Rachel clenched her fist like she was going to swing at me at any given moment and I knew that all hell was about to break loose."Your silence only proves that it is true....you slept with Clark." she said. "I didn't...I mean I did...but I had no idea he was the one....it was a one night stand." I blurted out without thinking. She had this deadly look on her face as her intense gaze on me almost made

He said as he walked away."But I didn't do anything!!!! Clark!!! it's not my fault... I swear I didn't do anything!!" I kept on screaming till I jolted away."What sort of dream was that??" I asked myself as I was drenched in sweat.I knew that I felt some kind of way the moment I saw him but having such a dream about him was something I never expected. And the stupid alarm clock just had to wake me up."Eva!!!! You better do something about that stupid alarm clock of yours!! It is supposed to wake only you up and not everyone else!!!!" My mother screamed from the hallway. If only she knew I was more upset than she was.I got up and went to freshen up and as I was having my bath, I reminisced about the dream I had and suddenly, I started feeling so hot.I quickly got out of the shower and got dressed up.

CHAPTER EIGHT

EVA'S POV“Clark???!!!” I said out of shock.“Shhhh…..you don't want your sister to hear you do you???” He asked.“What are you doing here??? You should be with your fiance right now.” I said as I looked around in worry.“She will be fine….I don't think she will even notice I vanished with how engrossed she is about getting the perfect wedding dress.” “That doesn't answer my question Clark…what are you doing here??” I asked.“I figured you could use a helping hand and I was right.” He said smiling.“Go out or we are going to get caught…I don't want to start explaining to my sister what didn't happen.” I said.He chuckled softly.“What didn't happen?? Better still, do you want something to happen??” He asked, smirking.Suddenly the dream I had started replaying in my head.“Have you seen my sister Eva??” Rachel said from outside.I started to panic as fear gripped me.“I told you to go out, Clark…now she is going to…”I didn't get to complete my words when he covered my mouth with his

Clark asked you to give this to me??” I asked.“Yes.” she said smiling.“Are you sure?? I am not his fiance.” I said.“I know…I think he saw you when you were admiring the ring and so he paid for it along with his and his Fiance’s.” she said.“Emmm….I really don’t know what to say….thank you.”“You should be thanking him.” she said as she winked. As much as I was happy about the gift, I was confused as well because he was the same person who was completely ignoring me and suddenly he pays for a ring that costs almost a million dollars.I kept the ring in my purse and walked out to meet with them.“What happened??” Rachel asked.“Well…”“I am sure she forgot something over there?? Right sister in law??” Clark asked as he interrupted me.“Right.” I said.“Are you sure Eva???” Rachel asked.“Yes sister….I forgot something.” I said.“Hmm…it

Because I asked you to come with me and not my soon to be wife??”“Yes… why do you even want me to come with you anyway??”“Good question sister in law….I have a very important meeting in Peru and my assistant gave birth yesterday so I have no helping hand for now and you came into my mind.”“Wait what??”“What were you thinking, sister in law??? I asked you to come with me because I know Rachel is going to be busy with our wedding plans and she has mom to help her so you were the perfect choice.”He must be really thinking so highly of himself or I must be the one out of my mind.“I
