I took my phone out and made a call. "Mr. Stuart, your daughter is out there using your name to bully other people and seize things by force. Are you aware of this?" Before I came to school, I heard from Dad that he had a great deal of regard for the proposal Calvin Stuart showed him. He'd decided to invest in Calvin's company, Lumina Corporation. But if he found out that Calvin's daughter had tossed all of my things onto the floor, there was no way he would let the Stuarts off the hook without teaching them a lesson. Therefore, if the Stuarts proved to be reasonable enough to admit their mistake, I would consider withholding this incident from Dad."How is it any of your business what my daughter does?" Calvin's tone sounded rather unpleasant."I suggest you drop by the campus, Mr. Stuart. The fact that your daughter is pushing other students around is no small matter—"But the call died before I even finished speaking.Seeing this, the young woman in front of me, whom I now k

Irene's biased rebukes were the spark that finally set off the anger bubbling up inside of me.Dad had gone to great lengths to arrange for me to study domestically. He even funded a building so I could focus on my studies without any trouble. Well, on my very first day on campus, these people were already trying to step all over me.I was reminded of my friends who had gone abroad for their education. Joining them was probably better than staying in this college to suffer such grievances. So, I made up my mind and said, "Fine. Go ahead and force me to withdraw. But I'm warning you—you'd better not regret this. I also expect a full refund of my tuition, dorm fees, and all other miscellaneous school fees."Irene stiffened briefly before rolling her eyes, muttering under her breath, "As expected of a broke pauper."After she sent a message to someone, she added, "Go pack your things and head to the college registrar to process your withdrawal. Your money will be refunded to you."T

Irene's keen eyes picked out Mr. Hudson right away. She dashed down the building and rushed up to Mr. Hudson and the other school administrators who'd come with him."What brings you here, Mr. Hudson?" she asked with a smile. "I see that you've brought quite a few people with you. Are you conducting an inspection of some sort?"I'd also hurried toward them, but as I stood there puzzled after seeing that Dad wasn't with them, Irene immediately pushed me aside."Don't tell me you've come to plead with Mr. Hudson for mercy. Well, I'll tell you right now that it won't work!" she snapped at me."Mr. Hudson, this is the brat who has been bullying her classmates on her very first day on campus! She is truly an unruly student, and she even ruined her classmate's outfit, which is worth two million dollars! Due to this, I've—"But before she could finish, Mr. Hudson walked over to me and said, "You've suffered, Juliette."When the others in the lecture hall saw that Mr. Hudson ignored Iren

After speaking to Howard, I went to grab some water from the car. However, just as I opened the car door, I heard a wave of commotion.Feeling puzzled, I heard Vanessa venting her grievances in a hurt voice."Look over there, Dad! That's the woman who's trying to extort money from us. She also ruined the bag you just bought me!"I looked over and saw Calvin studying me with a scrutinizing gaze, so without backing down, I glared right back at him.Calvin snapped his fingers, and one of his subordinates swiftly handed me a debit card."I can tell that you're not someone who tries to cause trouble for no reason, young lady. There are three million dollars in that account. You can have it. All you have to do is get on your knees and apologize to my daughter, and I'll let this matter slide."However, Vanessa angrily tugged on his arm, complaining, "Dad! Why are you giving her money? Didn't you say you'd back me up?"I tracked Calvin's gaze and saw that he was looking at the license p

Unable to contain himself, Calvin roared at Vanessa, "You shut your mouth!" Vanessa was dumbstruck. She'd never seen this side of Calvin before. The previously catty and domineering Vanessa now lowered her head, too afraid to look at Calvin or me.Just as Calvin was about to start speaking again, his phone started ringing."What? Our shares dropped? What did you say? Claude Heritage Group has called off the partnership?"As Calvin started to get agitated, Vanessa began to feel terrified. She tugged on his arm and said, "I know I messed up, Dad."Calvin felt the tug on his sleeve and saw Vanessa, the culprit behind this entire mess, standing right next to him. He gave her yet another hard slap."You useless girl! Ever since you were a kid, I gave you everything you ever wanted, only for you to end up doing something like this. You've ruined me!"Vanessa tearfully wiped away the blood from her lips before looking at me. "I'm sorry, Ms. Claude. Please forgive my father. I'm the on
