Raven POVPossible Trauma TriggersI was yanked back under the cover of the trees and thrown to the ground. Something sharp cut into my thigh. The palms of my hands were cut from the rocks, and other stuff on the forest floor and pain radiated from my wrist as I felt and heard a crunch when I hit the ground. Jacob POVPossible Trauma TriggersWhen I came upon the scene at the edge of the stream, I saw red. The sight of that bastard hovering over Raven… I can’t describe the level of fury that went through me. That mixed with the fear that she would get hurt before I got to her is what fuelled me. I leapt onto his back, knocking him away from Raven. I tried to keep track of where she was as I dodged the swipes of his paws and the two of us rolled across the clearing. I caught a glimpse of her taking off into the woods towards where I knew a road was. I’ll find her later if the others don’t first, but for now I know that she is away from this fight.When I had first taken off from the cabin, I had Zane, Duke and Kevin try to figure out what was in the direction that I was heading. A few minutes before I found Raven, Zane had told me that if she got far enough in that same direction, she would come upon a road and that they were heading that way in the car to try and keep an eye out for her.

I knew the nurse said that the medication they had given her would keep her asleep for a while, but I still didn’t want to make too much noise and wake her up. Raven POVThe next time I became aware of something going on, I found myself sitting on a dock. The same dock that I had sat on the first night that I met Jacob. This is one of the places that holds a lot of good memories for me.Instead of being night like last time, it looks to be the middle of the day. I’m wearing the clothes that I wore the night I spent in the cabin with Jacob. I have my shoes off, dangling my feet off the end of the dock.
