"I hate you so much, even the wind that soothes your face, scars my existence." Victor rebuked his mate Katia as she tried to treat his bleeding scar. Six months hitherto, Victor's existence was only but a myth after he was taken from his Alpha mother at birth and used as an experiment by the US military to create a hybrid. He was rescued by doctor Ronald when he was eight years old following an incident that took the life of the man he considered his only family. Ten years later, Doctor Ronald had preened Victor into not only a wise young man but a brave and self-discipline hybrid. Victor was given an assignment, to interact and get to learn more about humans and how to be one. He was sent to Greenwood high school by Dr. Ronald with the hope of getting him to adapt to their nature, but unknown to Dr.Ronald, the military was ahead of him as they planted Katia who acted as a fellow student and a friend to Victor to lure him to her trap and have him surrendered to the military. Darkness is imminent when Victor learns about his true identity upon the death of Dr. Ron who was murdered by katia, his mysterious mate. Will Victor ever let go of the past and accept his enemy as his mate or will seek vengeance.

Chapter One
Victor's POVIt was pouring heavily outside, the clapping of thunder and lightning beaming glinted on my father's face. He seemed more frightened than ever, as he stood there by the window, his eyes spelled worry while he held onto a nine millimeter in his left hand and a stick of kindled cigarette in the other, he was left-handed. The quiver of his fingers as he raised it to his lips and took a whiff of the cigarette before throwing the rest of it to the floor and stepping on it to kill the flames. An eight-year-old me sat there and watched wondering why he seemed more tense watching the raindrops.Suddenly, he swiveled and ran towards me taking me by the hand and shoving me into the fireplace." Stay right here and don't make a sound, okay son?" He whispered and I nodded my head.As though he heard someone coming, he slowly advanced towards the door but before he could reach the door, it was kicked open by an unknown force as the door came unhinged from

Chapter Two
Dr. R as I called him in short was everything to me, my teacher, my friend. He was the only person I could talk to since I am not allowed to associate with anyone. For the past ten years, He had taught me everything that I need to know. He taught me how to take control of my powers, how to act human, and mostly Education. I learned how to fight while watching the television, every single day of the past ten years I've been locked up indoors." Are you okay?" He asked walking towards me. He smelt different today and his outfitting as well. I couldn't get a whiff of his coffee breath or ting of weird chemicals on his shirt. I slowly stood up from the floor and walked back to the couch." You smell and look different today, what's the occasion? I gasped. Don't tell me, you are going on a date dressed like that." I gagged." Hahaha! Not funny. You better go put some clothes on, we will be late for the admission." " Wait, what? Admission to what?" " High

Ron's POVI had never felt so excited before, with my decision to send Victor to school. I had a feeling that he'd do great and learn more about how the real world works. He needed to leave like a normal teenager and have a normal life.As I jumped into the car to drive back home, once j was done with his admissions paper suddenly, I could sense something bad was about to happen. " did I do the right thing, exposing him to the world?" I thought to myself as I turned back and gazed at the entrance of the school hoping I'd see him just to be sure that I was doing the right thing, he wasn't there.I heaved a frustrating sigh as I turned on the ignition. I didn't think this is the time for anything to ever go wrong, Victor is yet to maximize his full potential and I trust he would protect his true identity from this cruel world. It had been my mission for the last ten years to make sure I protect him and guide him to the right path. I wouldn't want him to end up in t

Chapter Four
Right there in front of me, I watched helplessly as those innocent infants died miserably. I got so infatuated, I needed to know where I failed in my hypothesis. I ran an autopsy on one of the infants and that was when I figured out that the stem cells I had inoculated into their body system clashed with their leukocytes thereby causing severe organ failure." Doctor Ronald, what do we do now? There is no way I am gonna go through these nightmares over again. You need to shut this experiment down by any means." My assistant implored me, but how do I tell him that everything going on was out of my control, if I had the power to do something I could have done that a while ago. It's been weeks since we were brought to the Military research facility and I hadn't been allowed to go home and see my family, and neither have I heard from them. The only solution left is to make this work, by hook or crook. I studied the stem cells appropriately for some days and created

" I'm aware of that, and that is why I think we should use your daughter." He inferred." What?" " Yeah, she is older than the babies we used in the past. So Let's see how her body system adapts with the stem cells as it did with the little one." " Sir, I don't think that is a good idea. I have lost everything, and she is the only family I've got left please don't make me do this sir." I beseeched." If you don't want what happened last time to repeat itself, just do as I say. Got it?" He turned to leave." Why all this murder commander Arnold? " I asked with boldness, without any fear of threats or whatsoever. He turned and smirked at me" I am building an army." He replied before turning around and continuing out." But why use these creatures?" He halted on hearing my question and turned to face me" That's for me to know and for you to mind your damn business, doctor Ronald." He retorted and left the lab.My little girl was tied up

Chapter Six
The Army was right behind us as I could hear their footsteps and gunshots trying to scare us since I was certain they wouldn't shoot directly at us as to not hurt the baby, which I used to my advantage as my getaway plan.Suddenly, we arrived at a cliff. Looking down was a waterfall and it looked scary. I turn to Frederick and he shook his head in fear, I understand but we had no choice. I took his hand and we both leaped down the cliff, into the water. We swam through the river to the other side of the jungle. Victor was quite a strong baby, he didn't cry nor catch a cold whilst we were hiking the jungle looking for a safe place to sleep since the sun was about to set. "Hey, your arm is bleeding. Frederick mumbled behind me. You got shot while we were running earlier?" His eyes were filled with sympathy for me." Yeah, it's nothing. It doesn't hurt that much though, the bullet just brushed through my skin. Let's keep going." I turned to leave but he held my wou

Victor's POV.When I entered the classroom with the vice principal, she made me introduce myself while everyone starred at me.  I felt so uncomfortable, that I begged within to just have a seat and take a breath of fresh air, a break from their piercing eyes. I was staring down at my shoes, admiring how cool they were until Mrs. Griffin asked me to settle down.I promptly continued to the back of the class, since there weren't any seats in the front row. As I approached my desk, that was when I noticed her, she was more than elegant, her blue eyes fixed on me as she slowly brought her lips to the side, giving me a mesmerizing smile. Her scent filled up the room, and the way she packed her blonde hair into a ponytail made me feel more for her. Her dark shade of lipsticks seems to soothe her lips just flawlessly.  I sat down next to her and promptly kept stealing glances at her. Her focus was on the teacher as he talked about some topic that I se

Victor's POVthe school was over, eventually. Should have taken a bus home or perhaps accepted when Ian offered to drop me home in his car. I guess I was just being careful since I am not supposed to trust anyone just yet. I was on my way home fucking exhausted and I bet my senses were begging to get some peaceful atmosphere after so much hassle on my first day of school.I had so much going on in my head like why do teenagers worry about the stupidest things, the way I felt when each time that girl from my class was around me, but most importantly the cold shiver that ran through my spines when I Mrs. Grace walked past me. I couldn't wait to get home and share my first-day ordeal with Dr.Ron.Abruptly, I heard some noise coming from an alley just around the corner. I could sense danger and pronto I followed the direction from where the noise was coming from. Since it was almost dark, I stopped for a bit to figure out which side of the alley the noise had come f
