The face of the past

The ice from a girl's whiskey bottle was again turned around as she swirled it with her middle finger. Liana can be seen sitting in a high chair, facing the bar counter.

Few more moments had passed of Liana staring at the sweating glass. The ice is slowly melting, diluting the drink. Before the taste gets bland, Liana took a hold of the glass and chugged the alcohol. It created a scorching heat in her throat as she swallowed it down her stomach.

"I need one more," Said by Liana to the bartender available without leaving her eyes on the empty glass. She figured more alcohol would temporarily erase her exhaustion from work.

"You sure, ma'am? You look drunk already,"

Liana averted her gaze to the early-thirties man with wrinkled forehead. Annoyance kicked in quickly hearing something she didn't want to hear.

"Isn't it the purpose of being here?"

Both the bartender and Liana let their attention be taken by the tall man who walked close. He looked stunningly fierce with his gray polo and coat with the same color, just darker shade. His clean cut black hair was waxed.

"Sir Kai," The bartender replied with a tone of uneasiness. He found the man's presence frightening.

Who wouldn't?

Kaizer Ellis is a man of power; an elitist who doesn't care about anyone, unless you're sitting in the upper class with him.

"Give what the lady wants," Ellis ordered in a cold manner, like how he always speaks to the people lower than him.

"Yes, sir Kai,"

Liana was left confused about Kai's whole being. The approach seemed like someone who wanted to flirt, but the question is why did the bartender react that way?

Kai beamed a little as he took a seat beside Liana. "Alone?"

Liana couldn't deny; the man staring at her is gorgeous. The tall nose, fair skin, thick brows, and natural reddish plump lips could make him pass as a god. The luxury gold necklace hanging in his neck, strong manly perfume, and the designer clothes screams wealth.

"Yeah. Joining me?" Liana gave a little shy smile back. The bartender just finished filling Liana's glass and stepped back right away. He pulled his another workmate to replace him, and worked in another area away from Kai.

Kai merely nodded. In his mind, he's weighing his decision whether it is right to be with the lady beside her, or not. Liana doesn't look the same level as him but for some reasons, he wanted her.

"Black label," Kai said. It was unknown who he's talking to, considering his eyes remained on the countertop.

But the bartender listened and understood well. The man wants some drink. In a flash, the young bartender in late twenties, just the same age as Ellis, served his want. He wanted to focus on Kai, fearing that he might get shouted at, or worse, get kicked out of his job if he doesn't.

"Is he the boss here?" Liana thought in her mind. The workers treat him like one. Also, in the way he looks, it'll not be a surprise if he's really one.

Kai finished the first glass. He turned his gaze to Liana, who averted her eyes after getting caught that she's staring.

Kai shamelessly studied her features. From her short hair, to her tan skin, to her lips painted in red up to her chinky eyes, down to her neck. Liana felt the stare all throughout, though she didn't do anything about it.

Kai sighed and looked away. She looks a lot like his past lover. He would've believed it's her if it's not for the neck mole that Stella, his past lover doesn't have.

For Liana, it's a wonder why she saw a glimpse of yearning in the man's eyes. Kai admits to himself he sees the new lady as Stella, a reason why he's staying.

"Name?" Kai asked. He cocked his head to the bartender, referring to his glass needing to be filled again. The bartender fastly obeyed.

Liana turned her eyes from the bartender to Kai. "I'm Liana Garcia. You are Kai, right?"

Kai nodded his head in response. His eyes once again flew on Liana's lips. The lady's lips looked the same as Stella's. It attracts him to taste those, thinking it'll be the same as Stella's.

"I wonder what your lips taste like," Kai boldly said out of nowhere.

Liana felt flustered. For the record, Kai is the boldest she ever met in her drunk times.

Kai raised his head to Liana's direction and when he saw no trace of violent reaction in her face, he grabbed Liana's nape and crashed their lips together.

Liana was instantly melted by Kai's lips. She completely faced Kai and moved her butt to the edge of the chair. Her hands were on Kai's upper arm muscles covered in a thick fabric.

While Liana is closing her eyes, Kai keeps his open. He examined Liana's face for a little more seconds before he closed his eyes and imagined Stella in Liana's position.

The bartender bit his lower lip and exited himself after seeing the sight right in front of him.

Both got lost in each other. Lips to lips, tongue to tongue; the heat grows that drives Kai wilder. His veiny fingers stroking Liana's back, his nails digging in her skin.

Liana didn't know how she straddled in Kai's lap. All she knows is that Kai is getting too touchy. The man's warm palm is entering her pencil skirt, caressing her thigh.

"Spend the night with me?" Kai huskily whispered against their lips.

Liana's breathing hitched. Kai's tone was so sexy she almost nod. But sleeping with a stranger? Is Kai Ellis worth her virginity?

Liana nervously tailed Kai as the latter walked inside a high-class presidential hotel room. Liana couldn't believe wealthy people really do spend a lot for one night stands.

Kai gazed back at Liana after he heard the locking of the door. He wanted to ask himself how thirsty was he that Liana's lipstick scattered on her lower face like that.

In a swift motion, Kai cornered Liana against the door. Kai kissed her as wildly as ever, making her feel how much he's hungry for her.

It boosted Liana's confidence. "She wants me so bad?" She thought to herself.

Liana let Kai bring her to bed where the latter laid her. Kai stood in front of the bed, removing his coat. He carelessly let it fall down the floor. He unbuttoned his polo and threw it on the floor as well.

Liana swallowed as soon as the man's bare arms were exposed. Kai hovered over Liana and attached their lips together again, didn't even bother removing his shoes.

Liana whined at the feeling of Kai's lips against her neck. It's tickling her, at the same time lighting up her heat.

Liana let Kai remove her thin shirt. She felt uneasy due to the new experience, but she let herself calm down with Kai's lips on her bare boobs. She sighed at Kai's hot breath tickling against her skin.
