Life of Shay Valentine

Prologue

College life was just getting better for Shay, she now has a few lovely friends unlike in high school she didn't have much. She just got her grade for her previous exam and  it was extremely good.

Shay was a straight A's students, her parents were so proud of her, she was excited to go show them her grades. It been two weeks she hasn't gone home and she was excited to go see her family.

"See you on Monday" she waved to her friends while entering her car.

They all said their goodbyes and she smile drove out, she hum to the music playing on the radio and drove carefully home.

Her smile gets wider and brighter as she turned on her avenue, her house was just three blocks aways. As she drove closer she could see alot of cops car blocking her driveway. She was curious of why they were at her house, she pulled up on the side and exit her car.

"What's going on?" She mumbled to her self.

She walked up trying to enter her house but was stopped by a officer.

"Excuse me Miss, you can't go over the crime scene" he said running the yellow tape.

"Huh? That's my house!" She snapped angrily.

"I'm sorry Miss but you can't go over there" he said pulling her aways.

"My parents are--

Before she could finished her sentence she saw the officers pushing out two stretcher with two dead bodies in body bags.

Her eyes get wider and her mouth fell to the ground staring on the officer with a question look.

"Are those my---

" Shay honey I'm so sorry" Louise said walking towards her.

Louise was Shay uncle but she didn't like him one bit, the tears started rushing down her cheeks when she heard that her parents has been murdered. The officers has to pulled her away to keep her from pulling her parents dead body from the ambulance.

"Mom! Dad! You can't leave me!" She cried pulling out of the officer hands.

"I need to see them please let me see them!" She cried still trying to get out the office hands.

"I'm so sorry Shay, I can't believe someone could be so wicked to murdered my brother and his wife" Louise said wrapping his arms around her.

She pulled away from him giving him a disgusting look. "Where is Skai?" She asked broken.

"I have sent someone to get her from school" he explained.

"Shay I know its really hard right losing both parents but you have to be strong right now and I promise I'll take good care of you and sister" he said pitiful.

Shay shoot him another disgusting glare knowing how glad he might be so he can finally be the head her dad company.

Shay stood over her parent's coffins looking down on them, the dark shades she was wearing couldn't hide the shower of tears pouring out of her eyes.

"How could you left us like this?" She said softly sobbing

She place the white flowers on both coffin, Skai did the same. Close friends and family gave their condolences to the two sisters before leaving the burial ground.

Shay and Skai was still crying when the got back home, she noticed how her uncle didn't shed on drop of tears.

"Who's gonna take care of us?" Skai mumbled

"Uncle Louise I guess" she said with disgust calling his name.

They were in Shay room after they came back from their parents funeral, they can't believe someone would be so cruel taking away their parents. A knocked on the door caused them to jumped but then it swung open and stood there was their uncle Louise.

"I need you to talk to you two downstairs" he command

"What about?" Shay snapped

"I'll be downstairs waiting" he said walking out.

Shay held Skai hands and they both walked downstairs, she noticed a strange man with a briefcase in his lap, Louise and his wife Sally sitting side by side in the sofa. The kids joined them sitting opposite them.

" You must be Shay and Skai Valentine, nice to meet you" the man said stretching out his hand.

"Why are you here?" Shay said rudely ignoring his hands.

"I'm you father lawyer John Dyer, I'm here to talk about his Will" he explained pulling out a folder with some papers.

"On his will state that all  three businesses will be manage by Louise Valentine also his properties--

" Excuse me! Why would dad leave everything for uncle Louise? " Shay questioned.

"Shay please let the man speak" Louise snapped.

Shay didn't bother to argue with him, she did shoot him a glare before turning back her attention to the lawyer.

"His bank accounts will be manage by Louise until you Shay turn twenty five and old enough to handle things then Louise will hand it over to you" he finished off.

"That's bullshit, I'm hold enough to handle my own money, why would dad do that?" She said angrily.

"Thanks for coming Mr Dyer, please have a wonderful evening" Louise said dismissing John.

As soon as John left Louise grabbed Shay by her arm and pulled her in her late father's office, he slammed the door after pushing her in.

"You listen to me, you have no right to question my brother's Will, I'm his younger brother and he trust me to manage his businesses and take care of you and your sister.... So unless you want to live on the street you better have respect In this house and do what I say" He said harshly.

" I don't have to do anything you say, this is my father house! " Shay snapped angrily

"Which I now own remember you have nothing, your dad leave everything for me to manage even your money so you will listen to me" he said grabbing her cheeks. "Now did I made my self clear?" He asked holding tighter.

"Ye--yes" she stammered

"Yes what?" He grip harder.

"Yes uncle Louise" she choked out .

He released her and she quickly ran out of the office crying, she knew how hard it gonna be to live with her uncle but she has no other choice.
