Man, I was super hyped when I found out the 'Kingdom of the Wicked' books had audiobooks. I listened to the whole trilogy on my commute and Marisa Calin does an incredible job narrating. Her voice for Emilia and Wrath is spot-on, and she captures that dark, gothic Italian atmosphere perfectly. It really elevates the tension and the romance.
Sometimes I'd find myself sitting in my car after arriving just to finish a chapter. The audio version makes the magic and the demon lore feel so immersive, almost like a dark fantasy film playing in your head. If you're on the fence about the series, trying the audiobook might just hook you.

Yes, audiobooks exist for all three main books. I grabbed 'Kingdom of the Wicked' on Audible after reading the physical copy, just to revisit it. The narration is good, though I'll be honest—I found the pace a little slow for my taste compared to my own reading speed. I usually listen at 1.2x.
It's a solid option if you're busy. I don't think it adds a huge new layer to the story, but it's convenient. The later books, 'Kingdom of the Cursed' and 'Kingdom of the Feared,' are there too with the same narrator, so consistency is nice if you're binge-listening.

Absolutely. All of them are on platforms like Audible and Libby. The narrator's performance really brings out the possessive, enemies-to-lovers vibe between Emilia and Wrath, which is a huge part of the series' appeal. Hearing the Italian phrases and the demonic council scenes narrated adds a lot of texture you might miss when reading silently.

For seven years, Elara has been on the run. Moving every few months, hiding her powerful witch blood, and shielding her younger brother, Orion, has become her miserable existence. The only thing she knows for sure is that her luck is fading. When an anonymous, blood-written note forces her into the fastest escape of her life, she is suddenly abandoned by the one person she swore to protect. Alone and vulnerable, she falls straight into the clutches of the most dangerous, wicked males in the supernatural world.
Kaelen, Lysander, and Xavier are the ruthless lords of the Penumbra Syndicate, a Fae, a wolf shifter, and a vampire. They are cursed by an enchantress to find their one true love before a magical hourglass drains the last of its red liquid, condemning them to eternal torment. They are convinced the beautiful witch they’ve captured is the very woman who hexed them.
Chained in their opulent mansion, Elara fights for her life even as she’s overwhelmed by a searing, impossible attraction to her three captors. As the clock ticks down, the men must decide: is Elara the wicked enemy who ruined their lives, or the fated soulmate who can finally save them all?
When her kingdom is suddenly taken over by a ruthless and vengeful witch, Princess Elaine is faced with no other option but to seek the aid of the unlikely god known as King of the Underworld, Aidoneus.
The story that began in Vampire Witch and continued in Vampire Queen, of Casey Merker's love for two vampire brothers, finally comes to a close. More trials await Casey as she battles the New World Order to regain peace in her kingdom, gains more knowledge and abilities in the magic department, eliminates some enemies and makes friends with others and finally marries the vampire of her dreams while looking forward to living in a world of peace and harmony. KINGS & QUEENS IS THE FINAL BOOK OF THE VAMPIRE QUEENS TRILOGY

The subtle differences in how a narrator pronounces character names can be fascinating. Does she say 'Wrath' with a hard, cutting 'R' or a softer one? Those tiny choices shape the character in your mind. I noticed it more in this audiobook than others. Listened via Google Play, and the high-quality audio made those nuances clear.
I'm always nervous about this with fantasy. World-building details are easy to cut but vital for immersion. With 'Kingdom of the Wicked,' I listened and then read, and I can confirm no part of the world felt hollow or unexplained in the audio. All the rules of the demon princes, the witch's heritage, the historical context—it's all presented in full. Unabridged success.
Not that I found. I listened on Google Play Books. It was just the chapters. I even scrubbed to the very end after the last chapter to be sure. Silence, then the 'end of book' chime. It's a bit of a shame, because I love hearing authors talk about their work. But the audiobook market is weird—some have full casts and extras, some are bare bones. This falls into the latter category, quality-wise. Don't let it deter you, though. The narration is top-tier and adds a lot of atmosphere to the murder mystery plot.
Wait, I literally just listened to this! It's narrated by Marisa Calin. Honestly, she's fantastic—her voice has this lovely, slightly husky quality that fits Emilia's point of view so well. The pacing is just right, and she gives each character a distinct flavor without going overboard into silly voices.
I was particularly impressed with how she handled the tension in the quieter, more atmospheric scenes. You could really feel the simmering danger. The only minor critique I've heard from some listeners is that her male voices, especially for the princes, can sound a bit similar, but it never pulled me out of the story. Overall, a top-tier performance that elevates the book.
A practical tip: check your library's Libby or Hoopla catalog. They might have the audiobooks, but not always the novellas. You'll almost certainly find the main trilogy available.
So, start with 'Kingdom of the Wicked'. If you're hooked, you can seamlessly continue with 'Cursed' and 'Feared' while you're still in the borrowing queue for 'Throne of the Fallen'. It's the most logistical order, too.
No need to wait for the prequel to be available; it truly is supplemental. The core story is complete without it, and the audio performances for the trilogy are consistently excellent throughout.
