The narration is by Carrington MacDuffie, I think? Her voice really fits the political intrigue tone, though I've seen some comments online wishing for a more dramatic male narrator for the war sections. To each their own.

One thing to watch—I almost bought an abridged version by accident on a sketchy third-party site. Always check the runtime and publisher details. Stick with the major retailers or your local library's app like Libby. My library had a waitlist of about six weeks, which tells you it's still in demand. If you're impatient, the Audible credit route is the way to go. I listened to it during my commute and the courtroom scenes had way more tension with the voice acting.

Audible and Libro.fm are where I hear it most often, but you have to double-check what version you're getting. The one narrated by Melisa S. isn't the greatest in my opinion—her voice for Lira is a bit too wispy for my taste, doesn't quite capture that sharp, ruthless princess-of-pirates vibe I imagined while reading.

My local library app has it too, the one with the original cover art. It's the fastest option if you don't want to spend credits or money, though wait times can be long. Honestly, just searching the title on whatever app you use (Scribd, Google Play, etc.) usually pulls it up. The quality of the narration makes a big difference with the darker fairytale tone of this one.
