I'm pretty sure the specific manhwa that this was from was not one that I read, as the title may have changed when it was put up on a different website. To find out an author and artist for a manhwa, I usually go to the official source of the manhwa or check the first chapter of the manhwa, as that is where the author and artist are usually listed. If you're looking for more stories with this kind of setup and charged atmosphere, Forbidden Desires: A collection of sinful hot stories could be up your alley. The stories in this book are all set up around different taboos and focus much more on the tension and stakes of being caught rather than on the sexual attraction between the characters.

If you are trying to figure out who wrote a manhwa or webtoon called “Illicit Love,” be advised that the English title is shared by more than one Korean series, and also by at least one Chinese manhua. I couldn’t find a single English-language page that attributed the work to a single writer or artist. The most reliable way to find out is to open the official publisher or platform’s page for the work (Lezhin, Naver Webtoon, KakaoPage, etc. and read the series information – creator(s) are typically listed just below the title. Creator credits are also listed in the chapter headers. And if you are listing creators, be sure to credit them with their original names, and note any translation work as well. I would recommend checking for the most up-to-date creator credits on the publishers’ official sites – that way the creators get the credit they are due.

I stumbled upon this problem a while ago, and I developed a trick to solve it in the most efficient way possible. Try searching for the title of the manga + “만화” or “웹툰” in Korean (e.g. “Illicit Love 웹툰” or “금지된 사랑 웹툰” – translated into Korean). Click on the official results that come up, and then look for the author and artist’s real names in Hangul or their pen name in the first chapter of the manga’s credits, and in the author’s notes. Many manga authors include their bios, social media links etc. in their work. Also, I look up the title on sites like MangaUpdates (a great site for finding out when and by whom a manga has been scanlated) and Goodreads (for English translated versions of a manga and for printed versions with an ISBN etc.). This way, I can be sure that I’m giving the proper credit to the manga authors and artists online, and that feels good.

The title “Illicit Love” is pretty vague for translations between platforms. I did some research to try and find a single creator but it seems there are many different works that get translated under this title and even sometimes under the titles “Illicit Romance” or “Forbidden Love”. Usually I would recommend checking the official release page for the Webtoon, Lezhin, Tappytoon, etc. or the publisher’s page for printed volumes. The writer and artist for a series are usually listed in the series’ info on the platform where it was originally released or in the first chapter of the series. The original Korean titles and the writers’ and artists’ pen names are usually listed at the beginning and end of the printed volume as well as in the digital edition. I looked up a few examples of “Illicit Love” and the Korean titles are “불륜의 사랑” or “금지된 사랑”. However, I haven’t found a creator that is consistently referred to by the title “Illicit Love” across all platforms.

If you have a particular chapter, publisher, etc. in mind, the information should be listed in the beginning or end of the volume for physical copies as well as for official digital releases. You can also try to search for the Korean title for the work (ex. ‘불륜의 사랑’ or ‘금지된 사랑’). Mine is a bit of a trick to track down creator credits for works that get published under lots of different English titles, but I rather enjoy the search for information about creators of various Webtoons and other works. I’ve never found a work that was published under the title of “Illicit Love” by a single creator/artist that was available on any of the main platforms.

To clarify, ‘Illicit Love’ is a generic translation title given to a number of different series. So until you tell me which platform you’re reading it on / which translator you have, I won’t know who the author / artist are. In order to try to find out, I open the official series page (on Webtoon, KakaoPage, Lezhin etc), scroll up to the top of the page and check the series title for a set of credits underneath, which will list the writer(s) and artist(s) for the series – often the same person under a pen name. If you have an image or specific chapter you can search the exact text of that on Google or on a manga database like MangaUpdates or MyAnimeList and it should come up with the original Korean name(s) of the creator(s). Publisher’s website is usually most up-to-date and safest, as fan-site translations are frequently incorrect.

What's the plot of illicit love manhwa and who stars?

7 Answers2025-11-03
The plot is made up of a chain of unfortunate events triggered by a small mistake. Each subsequent decision of Seo-yeon and Kang makes their situation worse, until they’re in over their heads. This manhwa is very detailed in its depiction of cause and effect. Furthermore, it’s clear that Seo-yeon and Kang are the main characters of their own downfall. It’s very effective in how you can understand and even agree with each of their decisions as they unfold, and at the same time realize that they’re heading for disaster. The way to create such sympathetic and yet also annoying characters is demonstrated masterfully.

Who is the author and artist of stop smoking manhwa?

7 Answers2025-11-03
My guess for the most common manhwa queries is The Manager's Special by Yoo In-soo, available on Webtoon and therefore recognized by mainstreamers. The creator is listed in the app, and his style is immediately recognizable to those familiar with the work. For lesser known series, credits may not be as easily found, but for The Manager’s Special information is readily available from a variety of reliable sources. Case closed.

Does love revolution manhwa have an official English release?

8 Answers2026-07-28
And by 'print magazine' I am guessing that this might have been serialized in a magazine like 'Girls' Champ'... Yes, 'Love Revolution' was serialized in that magazine a long time ago, and some of the chapters were even translated into English officially and published as print. But those were only the chapters that were published, and not the entire series. And those chapters that were printed so long ago are now long out of print and impossible to find. So even if there did exist an official English translation of 'Love Revolution' printed so long ago, it would not be something that you could read online or purchase digitally today. The trail for that has been cold for years.

What are the best manhwa cheating romance series to read?

10 Answers2025-11-05
Instead, I highly recommend another completed series which does not get enough love: July Found by Chance. It is a webtoon, so pretty pictures and updates when the author posts. This is not an infidelity story, as the cheating romantic partner is beaten senseless by the truly aggrieved love interest. Instead, it is a story about the ultimate betrayal: that of fate and the author of the protagonist’s story. When the protagonist of July Found by Chance realizes that she is a character in a novel, she is horrified to realize that her life and the love she felt to be real were all just a farce, set up by the author in order to create a tragic, even worse, manipulated romance for her. The core of the story is the main female lead trying to search for agency in a story where she is just a pawn in the author's predetermined script. The story is a meta take on the betrayal trope and as a result the earned romance outside of the cheating of the cheating story feels even more authentic. The art is clean and nice to read and I particularly enjoyed how it could express the main character's deep frustration, existential dread, and her unrelenting search for freedom. It's a great cheating romance story that deconstructs the destiny of a forced romance, and stays with you long after the story is over.

Is the owner of a building manhwa worth reading for manhwa fans?

2 Answers2026-07-31
The building ownership hook in 'The Owner of a Building' might seem like a strange premise at first glance, but I stuck with it and found the real appeal is in the bizarre supernatural clientele the protagonist has to deal with. It's less about real estate and more about the hilarious, sometimes unsettling, situations that arise from managing a property that attracts ghosts, monsters, and other entities as tenants. The main character's deadpan reactions to these increasingly absurd scenarios create a unique comedic tone that grew on me. It's not a high-stakes action story or a deep character study, so go in expecting a series of episodic, often self-contained weird encounters. The art style complements this perfectly—it's clean and expressive, good at selling both the mundane and the supernatural elements without being overly flashy. I'd say if you enjoy manhwa that play with urban fantasy concepts in a low-key, slice-of-life way, with a dash of dry humor, it's definitely worth checking out for a change of pace. The pacing can feel a bit meandering, and there isn't a huge overarching plot driving things forward for a long while. It's the kind of series you read a few chapters of when you want something light and quirky. For fans specifically looking for intense power progression or complex world-building, this might not hit the spot. But if the idea of a landlord navigating lease agreements with a vengeful spirit sounds amusing, it delivers on that specific, niche premise pretty consistently.

Which infidelity manhwa offer satisfying endings for readers?

9 Answers2025-11-03
Of course, the biggest variety within this category are probably the titles that hybridize different genres in interesting ways. So for example an infidelity manhwa with fantasy elements, like the FL possibly getting supernatural assistance or possibly be reincarnated into a new body, would, if done right, be able to provide a very pure form of wish-fulfillment for the kind of story where the FL seeks revenge or recovery from an ex’s betrayals. And here the main interest lies in the various and creative ways in which the special rules that govern such fantasy stories can result in spectacular, unambiguous comeuppance for the lecherous hero, or in a deeply moving and satisfying recovery for the woman. On the other hand, a very realistic take on a manhwa can be so satisfying because it’s so, so, real. A bittersweet ending where the FL is happier but scarred for life is so much more satisfying than a mushy ending where everything is wrapped up all neat and pretty. The FL’s ex may not get his comeuppance but he can be shown to be mediocre for the rest of his life, which is very satisfying to read. Again, it comes back to what the reader is looking for in a story. Are they looking for a way to escape reality or do they want to read about reality and how people can heal from their pasts in realistic ways? The ending should be satisfying in that it feels like it belongs to the story. The ending should feel like it grew from the story’s own soil, not from some other story.

What are the most famous doujinshi artists?

Who are the most popular adult comic artists?

3 Answers2026-07-06
The adult comic book market is bursting with talent and often includes artists from Europe such as Enki Bilal. His Nikopol Trilogy is not exactly an adult comic but it does have a very raw, gritty, erotic edge to it. And then there’s the legendary S. Clay Wilson, notorious for his anarchic style in rebel comix, particularly his notorious work in Zap Comix. Often shocking and certainly raw and unflinching, the late artist was never afraid to push the boundaries. In fact, the world of adult comics is blossoming more than ever before with lots of fresh talent. I wish I could mention them all but for now, let me just name Orenstein, author and illustrator of the simple, charming, fun and yes, sexy adult comic ‘Alfie’ (online at www.alfiecomic.com). As well as classic printed books, a whole new generation of creators are now able to self-publish via platforms such as Patreon, opening up a whole new world of material that is far more diverse than the simple beefcake of Manara or the raw, angry anarchy of S. Clay Wilson’s work.

Where can I read This Witch of Mine manhwa online legally?

3 Answers2026-07-16
Normally I can find all the titles I’m interested in on a few major platforms, but so far none of them have this one. Right now your best option for this story would be to look for the original Korean on KakaoPage or to buy the printed books. This story was so damn good for me and the artwork/mood was also so great.

Who are the creators of new town manhwa and their roles?

3 Answers2026-02-03
A quick and dirty look at who makes a manhwa like ‘New Town’ is: the writer/original creator makes up the story and dialog for the manhwa; the artist/illustrator makes up the panels and draws the characters and scenes; the assistants help the artist with the backgrounds, inking, and tones to speed up the artist; the colorist chooses the lighting and palettes for the colors; the letterer puts the speech bubbles, captions, and sound effects in the appropriate places so the reader can read it smoothly; the editor and/or the editorial team make sure the manhwa is completed on time, checks for continuity, and helps the writer with the story and pacing. In addition, there are platform editors, promotional staff, translators (for foreign releases), and designers (for the cover and volume layouts for print releases) who contribute to the manhwa. Each of these roles contain a lot of art, a lot of craft, and a lot of logistics. Seeing them all helps me appreciate even the tiniest detail on each page of ‘New Town’ — it’s like getting to see the behind-the-scenes crew for a perfect performance.
