I think the title of this book is one of those really great revenge fantasies where the female lead gets to turn the tables on her Alpha ex-husband after a messy divorce. She must have even found out that he has a child with another woman that she is even raising. It kind of sounds like the premise of Mated To My Ex's Father (Alpha Damon) where the female protagonist mated the father of her Alpha ex-husband and has to deal with the rest of the pack trying to figure out her place now that she has usurped him. There isn't really any hidden child in that book, just a lot of tension as the female protagonist tries to navigate her mated status with her ex-husband's father in a pack where the two males previously held a lot of power.

The title for this one is “My Alpha Divorce to Rise Ex's Bastard” (I’d written that one too). An omega divorces her cheating alpha husband, only to discover she’s pregnant after the split. But instead of sitting around waiting for someone to come and save her, she finds herself thriving and reversing many of the expectations that had been placed upon her. The energy between the current and former spouses is electric, particularly when the ex realizes what he’s lost. The little pitbull is also adorable, and the omega eventually finds new love with her new chef, a nice complement to the previous alpha. It’s a tropey story, but it’s been executed in a fresh enough way to keep it interesting.

I just finished reading a novel that was a guilty pleasure of mine. The omega protagonist was so amazing to read as she went from heartbreak to growth and empowerment. After her alpha ex had betrayed her, she spent the novel focusing on herself and their little unexpected child, even while the alpha tried to get back into their lives. The world building wasn’t deep or anything, but the emotional conflict was high and I found myself on the edge of my seat in every confrontation with the protagonist’s and her supporting cast of characters (like her fun and no-nonsense best friend). It wasn’t great literature, but it was exactly the kind of thing I would read to feel better after a long day. The final confrontation where the omega finally tells her ex off? Total serotonin rush.

While browsing for new books, I stumbled upon ‘My Alpha Divorce to Rise Ex's Bastard’ and immediately dived in because the story sounded like such a rollercoaster ride of emotions! It’s about a fierce and strong omega who, after discovering her alpha ex-husband’s cheating, gets a divorce and is left all alone, only to find out later that she’s pregnant with his child. And to add an extra layer of social challenge, she decides to raise the little cub alone as an omega, in a society where omegas are expected to be in submission to alphas.

What I enjoyed most about this story was the main character’s journey. She is initially very broken, but grows so much by the end of the story and becomes a very strong woman. She is a mother, but she is also working and the story follows her as she deals with everyday life. I also loved the secondary characters. The main character’s “found family” of other omegas are so wonderful and lovable. The story is not just a romance, but also a story of a woman reclaiming her power. There are parts that are a bit slow in the middle, but are so worth it in the end. I ended up reading it in two nights.

Recommended for fans of underdog stories, this book was a sweet gem. I loved how the omega took her ex's abandonment and turned it into fuel to reach her goals. The young kid was cute and not overbearing, while the alpha's groveling was pure and adorable. The book had its' flaws (some slow parts, some predictable developments) but at the end of the day, it was so emotionally rich. Recommended to fans of "karma" stories and found family.

Check Podiobooks (or similar) for availability. Occasionally free novel serials are read by the narrator as if a podcast and released chapter by chapter. Suitable to the dramatic nature of this story, and very important for delivering the alpha characters as commanding as they are – check to see if available. It’s free, and legal, so great if an option is available. Subscribed to in a normal podcast app, with new chapters released as they are ready. Podcasts of this nature often have very active and engaging communities, and is a nice ‘niche’ option for stories like this that readers might find.
